uhhm not really a "self summary" per se.
i met this very interesting guy online. let's call him by the name of Dan. Very peculiar person this Dan. told a ton of stories about everything you can imagine. ok not really everything you can imagine, more about the funny things that he did, the people that he met, the places that he been and all the girls that he b@nged while working in the navy. i loved listening to this guy because he has so many stories to tell. it's like he's been all over the world the rest of his life and came back just to tell everyone how awesome it was. from macau to japan to the carribean to the mediteranean, from the tropical islands of the pacific to the snowy lands of europe. listening to him felt like one of those campfire moments i had as a kid. everyone huddled, marshmallows by the bonfire, the older guy telling the little guys stories with their jaws wide open. how is this my self-summary..? hmmm.. I don't know. it's not lol. i just felt like telling people about this guy called Dan. People have stories, everyone does. and there's so much we can learn if we just listen. sure not everyone is a great story teller. we may not be interested and not have the time in each day to listen to each story everyone has got to say. because we don't see the point in them. But that's the thing, it's just a point, at this point. but all these points, all these stories just might form into something else. a line, a circle, an arrow or an image. Like dots that don't make sense right now, but over time, when a lot of them have accumulated and you take a step back you start to see the bigger picture. this is my story, a culmination of the many stories of the people I've met in my life. its hard to see this now, I know I can't see mine yet. but in the future, hopefully it will all make sense. maybe then one just might be glad that one took the time to listen to what another person has to say. and ask "what's your story?"
one thing i learned from Dan is this old irish blessing. it may be ancient and common to some but for me its new and it's beautiful. and it's one of those things i'll never forget.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May the Universe hold you in the palm of it's hand.
