I am in an open/poly relationship with my partner Malischka and mostly new to Portland. I love Portland- I moved here from the East Coast a year ago, and its another world over there. I like it here better, its closer to interesting people and communities. The foliage and flora around here is a head trip all by itself. I am a musician who loves meeting and talking with people who are driven by creative energy. I am a drifter by nature, moved around a whole bunch of places over the last 13 years- I was in the Peace Corps for 2 years in Central Asia, I love travelling and exploring new cultures and ideas.

I'm always trying to develop myself as a musician and as a full person. Life is fluid. Beginning a music program at PCC this summer, because I apparently my BA in cultural/linguistic anthropology wasn't useless enough.

Books: I like Bukowski but I always turn into an asshole when I read him. This is also true of watching Curb Your Enthusiasm. I like Catch-22, George Saunders, the New Yorker, zen poetry, Alan Watts, John Steinbeck, Camus' the Plague, JD Salinger, Dashiell Hammett, Alice in Wonderland, Richard Brautigan, The Great War for Civilization by Robert Fisk, and music texts.

Music: the Talking Heads, Hot Chip, Pink Floyd, John Cage, Django Reinhardt, Fela Kuti, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Beatles, qawwali, Gillian Welch, old timey country and AM radio pop, electro pop and indie rock. Best live shows I've seen include Animal Collective, Hot Chip, and Parliament Funkadelic. Really I like almost all music. Currently obsessed with Tame Impala.

TV: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, the Wire, Mr. Show, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Futurama

Movies: beautiful classics, Pixar, Russ Meyer

Food: I like it all, man... though I've recently committed to eating more ethical meat, the factory farms are just too fucking evil
