My self-summary
I used to work in a bookstore and miss it-- mostly because of the people I worked with. On a recent visit to a bookstore, I also realized I also missed being surrounded by books.

I will often microwave something for 55 seconds because I think a whole minute may be overdoing it.

I try to ride my bicycle when it's nice out. I also try when it's cold, but tend to regret it after a few blocks.

My sense of humor can be odd, but it still makes my friends laugh... they're probably all weirdos.

I have 7 tattoos and a cat that was a stray, but he lives with me now. I then got another cat who looks like my first cat, but a smaller girl version.

When I took Psychology 101, one of our assignments revolved around asking people we know to give us words that they think best described us. One of my friends said, "Don't take this the wrong way-- like you're a dog or something-- but I'd say 'loyal'." I took it as a great compliment.

I try to be a person that I'd want to be friends with.
What I’m doing with my life
Monday night is bar trivia night.
Wednesday is sometimes B-movie night.

Thursday is THOR'S DAY.
Every 3rd Friday of the month I have a food club meeting.
Every 3rd Saturday has become my board-gaming group's meet-up.

As a side thing, I make papercraft action figures of various pop culture characters. I sell them at craft fairs/conventions a few times a year.
I’m really good at
I make stuff with paper.
I merge social circles by co-founding clubs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I look a lot younger than my actual age.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Not in order and not necessarily my most favoritest.

books: Catch-22, Peter & Max, The Dylan Dog anthology, Starman

movies: Royal Tenenbaums, The Baxter, Willow, Stranger Than Fiction

shows: Parks and Recreation, Top Chef, Mr. Show, Freaks and Geeks, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development
(I can binge watch a show like nobody's business.)

music: Sloan, CSS, Hall & Oates, Rilo Kiley

food: dim sum, sushi, roast beef sandwiches, falafel sandwiches
The six things I could never do without
Aside from obvious things:
1. blood
2. scissors
3. holographic companion that spits out statistics (or regular friends.)
4. bees (as a concept, not pets)
5. baboon heart
6. music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
... things I said and did. People that said things and did things.

More to that point, I think about perception a lot. It's kind of impossible for a person to look at you the same way you see yourself. If you conduct yourself in a way you want people to see you... as I type this I'm now having some difficulty wrapping my brain around what I'm trying to convey here.
On a typical Friday night I am
working on art stuff

or out with friends

or foraging for food.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
There are three movies that have made me cry: Dead Poet Society, Almost Famous, and Lady in White (mostly because I was pretty young when I saw it and I was afraid some uncle was going to kill me).

Recently I drank a margarita flavored can of "Joose" that someone left in my refrigerator 6 months ago. It is terrible.

"That's not a muppet. That's Troy McClure"
