I am aesthetic, intrepid, and tactile.

My Self-Summary

I'm a creative, nerdy, athletic, adventurer.

I have a deep, continual love affair with the Pacific and words.

I prefer motorcycles to cars, activity to lethargy and relish time spent in the sun.

I have an abiding sense of loyalty and integrity and am fiercely protective of the people I care about.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm playing piano, riding my Harley or Busa, playing hockey, skiing, skating, SCUBA diving or maybe playing video games.

If I'm not doing any of those, I might be drinking tequila and beer and throwing darts while praising the Brits for creating a game the requires you drink and throw sharp things.

Or maybe a combination of the above. Generally, just having as much fun as possible while maintaining a semblance of responsibility.

When I'm not doing fun playthings, I'm doing fun workthings; working as an art director for a game developer in Sherman Oaks.

Essentially, I love experience for the sake of it and spend a good deal of energy looking for new things to do and see.

I’m really good at

A number of things, which, when listed, feel annoyingly egocentric and self-serving(even though that's the point, I suppose).

Pretend there's a long, impressive list here and the items on it are intriguing and worthy of exploring.

Or not.

Up to you.

The first things people usually notice about me

My nose, my eyes and gorilla-like hands.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

*I'll add to this as patience allows :)

Authors:
Heinlein, Crais, Parker, Eddings, King, Barker, Asimov, Vonnegut, Harrison, Turtledove, Frankowski, Robinson, Orson Scott Card, Niven, Hogan, and others. I'd love to say Koontz, but just... can't.

Movies:
Casablanca, Sergeant York, Star Wars, Wizard of Oz, Seven, Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, (any film with effects by Winston, Bottin or Baker), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Matrix, Mr. Baseball, Goodnight and Good Luck, Blade Runner, anything by John Carpenter, anything by the Coen brothers, Godfather I, II, and others.

Music:
Being a musician, I find a like most music. From Barbershop Quartet to Blondie and bagpipes, a capella to classical and world, to most everything sans Hip Hop and Rap (though even select pieces in those work for me).

I do have a particular affinity for Peter Gabriel and older Genesis and 80's New Wave and some punk.

Food:
Yes, please.

The six things I could never do without

*Disclaimer: Items 5 and 6 subject to change without notice

Family, my paino, the Pacific, mom's pasta, Starbucks, the internet

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Things worthy of consideration.

On a typical Friday night I am

What's a typical Friday night? Currently I'm either dancing / socializing at a CW club in Chatsworth, or maybe riding, or watching a movie, eating sushi. Who knows? Next Friday could be a night dive on Catalina or drinks at Gladstones or something altogether different.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a thing for feudal Japan.

You should message me if

If you feel we align and aren't afraid of motorcycles.
