I like my debate healthy, and my humor sick. I like to play with ideas, but am less obsessed with facts. I'm usually clean, but rarely neat. Pattern emerging?

I value seriousness almost not at all. I am irreverent. I will try my best to take what you take seriously seriously, but I will more or less always be laughing inwardly. Don't take it personally - it's how some of us deal with a screwed up world we can't change.

I'm on here to find a swingin' cat to talk with, and maybe date, or just hang out with because we're both too lazy to come up with date ideas, and that whole courtship thing was designed for straight lame-o's anyways.

Books - I actually do a fair amount of reading, but most of it is in article form. I did love, however: The Hitchhiker's Guide series, A Wrinkle in Time, Atonement and Amsterdam (both Ian McEwan), cyberpunk stuff (e.g., William Gibson), Watchmen, Steppenwolf, everything Roald Dahl, and other stuff besides. By no means well-read, but literate counts for something, right?

Movies -
I LOVE: Chicago; Akira; Burn After Reading; Sin City; Silence of the Lambs; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Mrs. Doubtfire; anything David Cronenberg for some reason (The Fly, Videodrome, Scanners, A History of Violence, Naked Lunch). I love horror movies, sci-fi, comic book and kung-fu films, and love watching a movie and then immediately watching it with the DVD commentary... I'm funny that way.
