My love is studying and teaching about consciousness. That started in my 20s when I became interested in metaphysics.
Since then I've practiced different spiritual paths, studied with several teachers, and engaged in a decade long research of the world's major religions. I was seeking for the Truth about the meaning of Life, the most important aspects of human life, and how to best have a human experience.
That has taken the form of mainly studying and teaching courses in conscious living, meditation, yoga, tantra, and qigong. To do this I've lived abroad quite a few years. I love to travel and explore and experience different cultures. I've met some wonderful people who have shared their wisdom and love with me, and I like being able to pay that forward.
I like good conversations, good food, a good wine every now and then, outdoor fun (hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, etc), racquetball, working out, concerts, reading, movies, and music. I think I'll try learning stand-up paddle-board next.
I hope this next section will give you a taste of my personality.
I've had some mind-blowing experiences that started when I was a child. This has left me with an atypical way of viewing and thinking about the world and life in general. I don't follow any one mindset, and I don't see a box that anyone has to think out of. I'm a mix of traditional, progressive, and liberal.
I feel the best way to have control of one's future is to dream it, prepare for it, and then create it.
My personal goal I guess you could say is to live completely in the moment, tempered by the practicalness needed to live in the world.
I just got my first smartphone this year. I don't have a TV, but I love movies. I don't remember the last time I was on Facebook, and I've NEVER tweeted.
The outdoors is like my church. When I'm outside I like to feel, smell, taste, touch and listen to all the beauty and movements of Nature. I've found I notice a healing and a centering takes place with frequent time spent in Nature.
I like to watch and listen as much I do to talk about the things I love.
I'm into Radical Honesty, but I don't like to argue. I do enjoy debating ideas. I'm assertive and yet very open-minded - I might 'switch sides' if what someone is thinking at some point makes more sense to me than what I originally thought.
There's this "place" I've discovered that I call Silence or Stillness. The paradox is that It is so alive and dynamic, that one has to maintain a certain "Zen mind" to connect with It. When that happens, the Fullness of this "place" spills out into the life of the beholder, and touches all that person interacts with.
Because of this there are certain human traits that I value highly - those being honesty, acceptance, compassion, and integrity. These are the qualities I have found necessary to live a passionate, enlivened life.
I feel relationships are in some ways the finishing school to human life. As such, I see relationships as a kind of spiritual path in and of themselves. I think the most important part of a relationship is the intimacy that is able to be created and maintained. Communication is key to this - much of that is non-verbal. I truly enjoy seeing the world through my love's eyes, and sharing in what she thinks.
I'm very sensual and think "great sex" is about the soul-to-soul connection that can be experienced; at the same time I love exploring my lover's body and what she likes. To me, a good lover is someone who's good at loving from the inside out.
I no longer find any organized religion to be beneficial for me - so I mostly follow Vedic teachings along with some Taoist and Buddhist wisdom. My main spiritual philosophy is called dual non-duality.
I do a practice that has resulted with me being able to be in Union with Source (or the Godhead - there's all kinds of names for it). That's changed my whole life and how I live it.
I would love to be with a woman that wants to experience a simple, heart-based, deeply intimate relationship with a spiritual, sensitive, passionate man.
I see the two of us as having similar interests and desires where we spend a lot of quality time together doing what we enjoy or simply relaxing and loving; where we both have that "team" approach to being together, and where we will support and help each other grow.
