My self-summary
I'm an open-minded introvert that prefers the cuteness in all things. I've been a resident of Salt Lake City for a number of years now, after languishing in the South for nearly all my life. I continue to want to learn about the world, as well as myself, and discover unique/exciting things while making real connections with others.

Listening to music and watching films are a couple of things I love with all of my being. I'm an introvert, a good friend, and a bit of a nerd (okay, a huge nerd). I also like a lot of girly things because fuck your gender stereotypes.

I enjoy sitting in coffee shops and making up stories for people that come in and out. I'm a people watcher -- an observer, cos you know, that's what introverts do.

I'm also a regular at pub trivia, specifically, Geeks Who Drink. My useless pop-culture knowledge knows no bounds.
What I’m doing with my life
Went back to school to study Graphic Design. Also working a full-time job that pays the bills while I'm in school (it's an office job).

I'm also a volunteer DJ at KRCL! I do a radio show (I play mostly new indie stuff) on Friday mornings from 1-3am called The Yellow Stereo. I also used to be a music blogger as well for about six years until about a year and a half ago. It was such a huge and creative part of my life that I have to mention it in some capacity.
I’m really good at
Answering and remembering things that involves vasts amounts of useless pop-culture knowledge, sleeping, Netflix marathons, screaming like a girl.
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses; though, I was told once that I have kind eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Love is a Mixtape, Perks of Being a Wallflower, High Fidelity, Killing Yourself to Live, Norwegian Wood, Phonogram. Anything by Chuck Klosterman, Rob Sheffield, Nick Hornby or Haruki Murakami.

I've also gotten back into reading comic books in a HUGE way. Currently reading Saga, The Li'l Depressed Boy, Hawkeye, Young Avengers, and a ton of other great stuff.

Television: True Detective (miss you already), Hannibal, Girls, Adventure Time, How I Met Your Mother, Chopped, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, True Blood, Twin Peaks, The State, The Office (UK), Twin Peaks, Pete & Pete, Freaks and Geeks, Spaced, Six Feet Under, MythBusters. As I typed this, I've probably recorded three episodes of Chopped already.

Films: HER is the best film I've seen in 2013 by far. I love French New Wave, indies, bad action/sci-fi movies and films from the likes of Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Woody Allen, Hayao Miyazaki, and Wong Kar-Wai

Music: I listen to way too much music to put in this box, but favorites include Belle and Sebastian, The Radio Dept., The Magnetic Fields, Cocteau Twins, Jeff Buckley, My Bloody Valentine, New Order, Jens Lekman, Yo La Tengo, Beach House, The Softies, The Smiths, etc. Music is very important in my life and I'm always listening and discovering something new.

On a typical Friday night I am
Seeing films, going to concerts, looking at pictures of sloths, or just catching up on episodes of Chopped.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was a kid my mother told me I would go blind if I went to sleep with my hair wet. I still don't sleep with my hair wet.

When I first went fishing, I spent 15 minutes trying to catch a dead fish. I am a supremely talented outdoorsman, obviously.
