My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an open-minded, nerdy, introvert (Wait..where are you going?! Don't run! It's not that bad!). I've been a resident of Salt Lake City for a number of years now, after languishing in the South for nearly all my life. City life is lovely and I don't want to go back.

I don't need any bullshit in my life, as I just want to take in new experiences, see new places, have a little bit of fun and maybe karaoke some Hall & Oates once in a while. Are you down with that?

Listening to music and watching films are a couple of things I love with all of my being.

I like a lot of girly things because fuck your gender stereotypes.

I enjoy sitting in coffee shops and making up stories for people that come in and out. I'm a people watcher -- an observer, cos you know, that's what introverts do.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Went back to school to study Graphic Design. Also working a full-time job that pays the bills while I'm in school (it's an office job). I'm not satisfied of course, and I have goals that I want achieved. So instead of complaining about it, I'm doing something to fulfill them.

I'm also a volunteer DJ at KRCL! I do a radio show (I play mostly new indie stuff) at 10:30pm/Tuesdays called The Yellow Stereo.

I used to be a music blogger when it was cool for about six years until 2010-11. It was such a huge and creative part of my life that I have to mention it in some capacity. It means I listened (still do) to a lot of music and loved sharing that with people. I guess that's a long way of saying I like to write.

Podcasting! Well, trying to.

Always looking for cool, new creative outlets for myself.

Books: Currently reading Bryan Lee O'Malley's SECONDS. Love is a Mixtape (if I like you, I will probably buy you this book), Perks of Being a Wallflower, High Fidelity, Killing Yourself to Live, Norwegian Wood. Anything by Chuck Klosterman, Rob Sheffield, Nick Hornby, Neil Gaiman, David Sedaris, or Haruki Murakami.

I've also gotten back into reading comic books in a HUGE way. Currently reading Saga, Sex Criminals, The Wicked + The Divine, The Li'l Depressed Boy, Young Avengers, and a ton of other great stuff.

Television: BROAD CITY, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Archer, Black Mirror, Orphan Black, True Detective (miss you already), Hannibal, Girls, Adventure Time, How I Met Your Mother, Chopped, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, True Blood, Twin Peaks, The State, The Office (UK), Pete & Pete, Freaks and Geeks, Spaced, Six Feet Under, MythBusters. As I typed this, I've probably recorded three episodes of Chopped already.

Films: Obvious Child, The One I Love, We Are The Best!, Only Lovers Left Alive, and Boyhood have been some of my faves this year. I love French New Wave, indies, bad action/sci-fi movies and films from the likes of Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Woody Allen, Hayao Miyazaki, and Wong Kar-Wai. I am a slave to all Marvel superhero movies.

Music: I listen to way too much music to put in this box, but favorites include Belle and Sebastian, Radiohead, The Radio Dept., The Magnetic Fields, Cocteau Twins, Jeff Buckley, Camera Obscura, Beach House, Stars, My Bloody Valentine, New Order, The Smiths, etc. Music is very important in my life and I'm always listening and discovering something new. If it's jangly, I will probably love it.
