My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am introverted, cerebral, and nervous, but I've gotten good at hiding the introverted and nervous parts. Over the last three plus years I've started to rediscover things which used to give me great joy. I used to be a voracious reader and, as so often happens, life got in the way. But, in the last three plus years, my desire to express some sort of creativity led me to explore writing. While writing, I've discovered the importance of reading, they go together well.

So, I've been reading about writing, reading about reading, and writing while I've been doing all of it. It's been an eye-opening experience, the writing part can be frustrating, while the reading part can be inspiring. But, I love the challenge and the thrill.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Exploring the stories that have been fermenting in my brain over the last 52 years of my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not a bad writer. Not a publishable writer, but not bad either.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to be somewhat quiet or shy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I've started to notice that my favorite book is the last one I read. It's interesting (at least it is to me) that I've been able to find books, both fiction and non fiction, that have given me something to think about that relates to my life. The last book I read was "The Humbling" an interesting, thought provoking, albeit depressing, novel about an aging actor who has lost his ability to perform.

World War 2 movies are some of my favorites, or Vietnam movies. (Stalag 17, The Great Escape)

My musical taste has been leaning towards electric blues. Although I do like classic rock, alternative and punk/new wave.

Chinese, Italian, Mexican and Sea food for me, thank you very much.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pen. Paper. Computer. Heat. Air. Water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about what ever it is that's going on in my life at that moment. I try to keep work out of my consciousness, and usually succeed at that. My summer hobby keeps my mind working, along with whatever writing project I may have going at that moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In the summer, I work at a local stock car track, in the winter it's a play, movie or dinner out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm rather confused about what I want from the rest of my life.
