My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm practical but also into all things new and different. I'm a warm person, a physical person, and a thinking and feeling person -- wow, I'm a person!

I believe in starting small, and ending even smaller. I'm not sure what that means, but we'll just stick with it for now. I avoid pretension. I seek out the unusual. I try to make the boring exciting. I'm not interested in going places just to go places. I like staying home, unless the option of going out terrifies me, and then I go out. I think that's MOSTLY true, which affirms my lack of certitude. Sometimes I just don't know a darned thing... And I'm quite comfortable with that.

I'm here for friends, activity partners, and collaborators in art.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Taking a lot of photos. I do wedding/events, freelance photojournalism, portraits, and my own ongoing documentary projects.

It's a consuming affair and invades many other aspects of my life, but it's all in service to something larger than the medium. It's about connection and discovering the intrinsic qualities of humanity. Psychology, Arts, Science, Politics, Sociology, yada-yada... Basically the secrets of the universe.

So if you like to hang out and discuss the universe... that's cool.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
not joining cults (though might join Costco again someday), making people laugh or feel awkward or both at my discretion, leaving the house with no particular destination, meeting people along the way.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Either my nose or my soul depending on how perceptive they are.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Chomsky, Homage to Catalonia (and other things by Orwell), Heart of Darkness, things by Rebecca Solnit, things by Lao Tzu, mashed potatoes with gravy, Louis CK, Woody Allen, Casino Royale (the 1969 parody), Steve Reich, Joey DeFrancesco, Radiohead, Ween, Arcade Fire, Arvo Pärt, Keith Jarrett (his neo-classical solo piano stuff), Lady Gaga, eggs, and much more!

I like how some people avoid filling this section out, dismissing it as if it doesn't tell you much about a person. It may or may not, but fuck it, you've come this far, just put "Coldplay" or "Batman" here or something. Leaving this space blank apart from the "We should discuss all this after meeting" is a bit suspicious to me. If you like Batman or Coldplay, just tell me -- it's important, I care. I have no judgments either way (they're just hypothetical examples, and I love Batman). I just want to know about it before we make a commitment to meet for Tecates in the park.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. all of Maslow's hierarchy
2. a camera
3. irony
4. chocolate
5. an overcast day
6. a smallish tote bag to carry all of the above
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Something non specific, howling at the moon, giving up and focusing on Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm right-handed, but I do a couple things with my left.
