My self-summary
Normal is boring.
Hard work is important.
Action creates identity.

Plotting to save the world over wine and cheese, or burgers and beer, or coffee or tea is one of my favorite pastimes. Joking about nerdy things and talking about science fiction are up there too. I would love to live above an independent coffee house next to a used bookstore, and, if possible, near good hiking trails.

I like dancing, and I'm alright at salsa and swing. I'm more at home on the dance floor with hip hop and Top 40s beats, though. I love improvisation. If I like you, I'll probably drag you to a dance floor sometime, and you'll probably enjoy it because you'll be laughing too hard at me making a fool of myself to worry about being embarrassed.

I'm playful and fairly confident, and looking for the same. Excessive self-disparagement is not charming. Genuine smiles are entrancing, laughter is beautiful, and understated confidence is sexy.
What I’m doing with my life
How I will determine the answer to this question:

Am I learning something?
If yes, good. If not, find something else to do.
Am I working on something that the jaded would scoff at?
If yes, good. If not, try harder.
Am I actually creating measurable, positive change in the world?
If yes, good. If not, try harder.
Am I creating and participating in meaningful relationships?
If yes, good. If not, reevaluate priorities.
I’m really good at
Dancing at parties, graphics and UI design (not the same things) and planning and leading workshops. And while we're on the topic: If you're annoyed by chronic overachievers, then I'll annoy you. You've been warned.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair or that I'm dancing. Depends on the setting.

Also NPH rocks.), The Middleman (only 12 episodes long, and possibly the biggest TV cancellation tragedy ever. Yes, including Serenity. Also winner of The Most Underrated Show Ever, according to me and other cool people).

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've always somehow felt more "among comrades" with bi- or pan-sexual men than with gay-identified guys, despite identifying primarily as gay (let's call it 85 to 95%). To be clear: I enjoy meeting all dude-liking guys, regardless.

I'm not really "radical," personally, just socially libertarian. Instead of attending protests and/or consciously altering my appearance to be counter-cultural (referring here to the currently dominant gender-binary), my inclination is to do more behind-the-scenes stuff. Something a little more scalable.

I think that my (relatively) societally-unchallenging desires are peculiar when contrasted with genderqueerness; I desire to (eventually) end up in a long-term monogamous relationship (more than likely with another dude) raising a kid (maybe two). I would still actively support the rights of my friends to express themselves as they are.

I don't know if I'm being naïve, but I'm going with it for now and keeping tabs on it.
