My self-summary
Hi everyone. My name is Danny. I am 30 years old. I recently moved to Brooklyn to pursue a career as a writer, but I've been a pretty creative person my whole life. I was a fairly successful actor as a child. I self-published a novel a couple of years ago and am working on a second (which is a lot more difficult). I'm currently a graduate school student at the New School. Oh, and I'm funny, but I don't really know how to write funny. Is that odd?

I'm usually interested in creative people, nightlife people, the "mad" ones, as Kerouac said. I'm pretty passionate and committed to the things I love, but I also am pretty easygoing when it comes to social situations. In any event, I'm looking to meet some new people and see what happens. Drop me a note some time.

I am emphatic, inconsistent, and aloof
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Brooklyn to be surrounded by a more creative environment. I manage a band, do some freelance writing and am working on a novel. No 9-5 job, which is just fine by me.
I’m really good at
Writing, watching the Yankees and the Knicks, having crazy conversations, falling in and out of love.
The first things people usually notice about me
My passion; my relationship with my best friend and my sister (who are married); my big brown eyes (lol).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
a. "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac, "Cannery Row" by John Steinbeck, "Still Life with Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins, "Notes from Underground" by Dostoevsky, "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving. b. "Reality Bites," "You Can Count on Me," "Beautiful Girls, "Rushmore," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Sideways," "Brokeback Mountain" c. Pearl Jam, Jay-Z, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem d. pizza, sushi, french fries
The six things I could never do without
1. The relationships I have with my friends and family 2. Jack Kerouac 3. Pearl Jam 4. pizza 5. nostalgia 6. The Yankees and Knicks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the incongruity of relationships and the difficulty of romantic love
On a typical Friday night I am
at a scumbag bar, having a few drinks, talking cryptically about the universe and and how to get the band I manage a record deal. Yes, I know, everybody is in a band. But this band is good. promise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have been hurt too many times.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–38
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You want to talk to someone who is real and fake and lonely and crowded and happy and full of sorrow. I am a little of everything--just like most human beings.
