To start off, I'll start with my name- Patricia.
I'm originally from El Paso, Texas; but I've moved around so many
places since i'm from a military family. I'm back in El Paso, for
what seems like for good, although I'd love to move to
Arizona.
I've matured rapidly, and I have different goals, agendas, thoughts
and pursuits than the average nineteen year old. I've been through
alot in my life, I've witnessed and been through more things than
anyone deserves to go through- but what has happened, only makes me
stronger, and a better person.
I have a passion for children with special needs, runaways, and
re-building broken homes. I plan on being a
Child Protection
Service agent within the next three years.I want to help kids
out who have had issues in their lives, and I'd like to help build
self esteem to teenage girls and boys.
I'm a whole-hearted
christian, although most of my family
and friends are self-announced Atheists, and Agnostic. I get along
with nearly everyone I come across. No judgements, no criticisim
until I have a reason to do so.
I love animals, I have three dogs, two kittens, and 10 fish.
:]
I'm heavily into photography, reading, writing, and old
films.
I can read people extremely well, and I'd be able to catch you in a
lie in a split second.
I give more than I recieve, and I prefer it that way.
I have a fascination with black and white silent films, and I tend
to have friends who are at least 8 years older than me. I spend too
much time in front of a computer looking for new music to listen
to, and too little time outside... thus I'm probably more pale than
you. I make up stories to pass the time, and I tend to draw on my
hands. It's a habit I haven't been able to break since I was
six.
I give out too many second chances, so I'm prone to heartache. All
I'm looking for right now, is a good friend. Nothing more, nothing
less.
I'm random, and can never stay on topic.
Public Speaking.
I'm not sure, usually no one says whats on their mind at that
moment.
But i'm sure it's something to deal with my height or hair.
I love books by J.D. Sellinger, and Chuck Palahnuick.
Such as
"Catcher In The Rye",
and "Fight Club". But I'll read nearly anything interesting, I'm
not picky whatsoever. I love autobiographies, and criminal history.
I just finished "Johnny Got His Gun", by Dalton Trumbo, an
"anti-war" novel, that had me cringing.
I''ve also just finished reading The Incredible Revolution by Shane
Clairborne, a christian activist and peace maker, whose become my
biggest inspiration.
CURRENTLY reading "the lovely bones" by alice sebold.
I don't really like TV, but when I do watch it I usually turn to
watching "To Catch A Predator".
I love classic movies, like "Breakfast At Tiffanys", and
"Casablanca". I love musicals, such as "The Phantom of the Opera",
and "Repo! The Genetic Opera",
"The Rocky
Horror Picture Show", and "Rent". I also love the "brat pack"
movies, like "The Breakfast Club", "Pretty In Pink", etc. My all
time favorite movie is Fight Club! I love Nicholas Sparks' movies
as well (I am a girl, after all... plus a hopeless romantic...)
Such as "Nights in Rodanthe", "The Notebook", and "Message in a
Bottle". I like movies that make you think, such as "A Beautiful
Mind", and "Garden State", "PI", etc. I also liked Freedom Writers,
Miracle, Juno, The Outsiders, The Prestige, Running With Scissors.
New releases: The Last House On The Left, The Soloist,
Adventureland, Twilight, 9, District 9, Terminator Salvation, X Men
Origins: Wolverine, UP!, Orphan, The fourth kind.
I liked all Harry Potter movies, and books.
I prefer star wars over star treck, though I'm not a junkie.
And *gasp* I absolutely HATE The Lord Of The Rings, and I will
repeat it over and over again, if you say something.
My favorite movie, hands down:
Clerks 2. No, not Clerks. Clerks 2.
:0
As for music, it varies. Currently my "most played" playlist on
itunes consist of:
Aesop Rock, Gary Go, The National, Damien Rice, Phoenix, Okkervil
River, 3OH!3, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elvis Costello, Say Anything,
Lady of the Sunshine,
Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Kid Cudi,
Citizen Cope, India.Arie, The Honorary Title, Owl City, Modest
Mouse, Deer Tick, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, The
Smiths, The Cure, Nevershoutnever, Nirvana, Desparocidus, Bright
eyes, Rancid, and Marilyn Manson. Jonny Diaz, Matthew West.
Clearly, I can listen anywhere from Mozart, Debussy, to Tim mcgraw
and taylor swift, to Plies and Lil Wayne and T.I., to The classics,
metal, acoustic, experimental... ya get the idea.
When it comes to food, I'm not extremely picky. Although I'm not a
fan of pork. If you want to win me over, I'd go with buying me a
cherry limeade from Sonic, and making me some
chicken ramen.
Hmmm, I also go to Taco Bell weekly.
Technically I can do without everything aside from water and food.
But I'd rather NOT go without:
1.God - Without the faith I have, I doubt I'd be on the right track
that I am now.
2. Family- Without their support and even when they DON'T support
me, I need them no matter what happens.
3. Friends - But only the true ones. I only have about 3 friends I
consider "friends", "best friends", yada yada yada.
4. My dog- He's my sunshine. He's always there when I wake up, and
always there, even when I forget to feed him all 3 times a
day.
5. Love- I'm not just saying romantic love. I need love everyday. I
need love to keep my spirits up. I need to be loved and give love
to everyone I meet, see, and hang around.
6. My job- It brings home the bacon.
My past. Future. Present. And somehow how nothing seems to tie
together.
Catching up with friends at a diner, or playing Scattergories with
the best friends imaginable.
Jonny Diaz and Joshua Radin lyrics make me cry.
Okay. I think this would be the appropriate place to explain
this:
You should message me, if you:
Are mentally stable.
Have a job. I don't want you to be my "sugar daddy", BUT it annoys
me when people rely on mommy.
Understand from different perspectives.
Aren't crass, rude, ignorant, and maybe... just MAYBE you can spell
"purple".
Apparently lately because I hate when people rely on their parents,
that makes me a "conceited snobby asshole", according to some
gentleman on this website.
Let me clear myself:
I'm not vain in ANY way.
I'm not conceited.
Normally I pay for myself on dates. So i'm not a gold digger.
I just like to be around people who have an idea of where they're
going, rather than smoking a bowl on the couch and waiting for
their mom to make dinner for the rest of their lives.
I don't think thats too much to ask for. Just sayin'.
