I manage a tech department at my university which would seem to be very isolating and anti-social but I love my job mostly for the people I work with and the good-natured portion of my customers.
I like the thrill of playing music or dancing the night away in a crowd, but I also crave nature and being in isolation from anything electronic. You're just as likely to find me chilling in a hammock. I live lakeside 3 acres of mini-woods paradise but I still hear the football games from my backyard so it's the best of both worlds.
While I love to pursue my own interests and be my own person, I prefer to share experiences with someone else. Conversation and connection are key. I prefer relationships that not only inspire me to be a better person.
I love to listen to new music and check out new venues, but I don't judge my music based on how few people have never heard of this DJ or that band and immediately give up on them once they become popular.
I am a burner, a hippie, a music-lover, a scientist and a (if only slight) redneck. I spent a good bit of town down in Sarasota at New College and then spent a year in the England in Liverpool studying to become a recording engineer. Now I am finishing a degree in Wildlife Ecology at UF while working a pretty steady well-paid job at UF so I am currently conflicted about my next move.
