My self-summary
I'm Paul.

I just came from across the country, for my third time, and have decided to stay. I always get where I'm going.

I like Oakland a lot. I have lived in many places. I was born and mostly raised in New England. My family is mostly there.

I've been a soldier, dishwasher, writer, more. How does a person summarize himself?

I've been writing and publishing since 2003 (I was 14). Not very heady about it.
I’m really good at
Writing, gregariousness, getting into trouble (apparently).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Grateful Dead are the masters of the universe, but I like the National. It's a band. Still listen to Third Eye Blind without a trace of irony. Cold War Kids and Guy Clark and Passion Pit and the Nightwatchman and on and on. KFOG is the shit. I read a lot of books when I have the time. Recently I read some books from last year. Union Atlantic by Adam Haslett was pretty memorable.
The six things I could never do without
Six? Maybe not. I did do without internet, so I could. Phone too. Coffee, cigarettes, whiskey, beer, food, a good pair of shoes. What else do you need?
