I'm a bright, clever and witty guy who is a lot of fun to hang out with. Movies, music and books are a big part of my life. I love to dance. I have a rich and varied life and the pursuit of a career has not been my primary goal though I have had more than my share of opportunity. My life has been Huck Finn meets Jack Kerouac and runs away with the circus.

For most of the last eleven years I have been living in a small remote and pristine part of Costa Rica at the end of the road on the southern pacific side in the town of Pavones famous for its' long left point wave. I have been a dedicated surfer since 1964. Recently I have started taking surfing photos which is challenging and rewarding. I have some property here, which I would like to sell part of so I can build my own house.

Dancing, surfing, acting, sailing, photography. I'm quick to grasp concepts and to find creative, intuitive and original solutions to problems. I do nice varnish work.

I would have to guess that it would be that I am tall, handsome in a interesting way and have a quick, keen sense of humor, an open and warm personality with a nice smile.

My interest in all of the above is far too varied to name any favorites.
Jazz is at the top of my music list, with bebop being the area I tend to listen to most, and Thelonious Monk at the top of that play list. Pink Martini is new group I think the world of. The Rolling Stones are the best rock 'n roll band in the world. I love traditional country western, blue grass, blues.

As for movies I'm not sure were to start. The "Maltese Falcon" is usually my first choice, though probably not the best movie ever made. The Coen brothers certainly high on the list. Spielberg, Eastwood, Howard Hawks, Peckinpah, Tarantino, and many more.

Books, books, books.... For escapism I like Walter Mosley, Elmore Leonard, Carl Hiaasen and James Lee Burke. Cormac McCarthy is good. The biographies of Jon Meacham and Joyce Goodman Kerns.

Gourmet cooking and wine. Sour mash bourbon at sunset.
