My self-summary
Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile. I'm a friendly, fun-loving person who's also thoughtful and curious about the world around me. I am close with my family, loyal to my friends, and love great conversation. I believe in treating people the way I'd like to be treated. I may be on the quieter side when we first meet, but once I get warmed up, I will be the first one busting it out on the dance floor.

I also possess an eclectic set of experiences and qualities. I'm a first-generation American, and as American as I am at the end of the day, I still try to be in tune with my culture and incorporate the respective values I feel speak to me. I tend to do whatever I think suits the situation at hand, which I think makes me more of a free spirit, if anything, and this has led to some random, but cool, experiences. I've eradicated rats on a remote island in the Pacific and learned to use a machete in Ecuador, among other things.

I also enjoy planning and organizing outings/events with friends, being active, and plugged into what's going on in the city. Checking out live music (The Psychedelic Furs were cool), festivals, talks, outdoorsy events (hiking's fun), and places unique to DC (the Embassy Tour rocked!) are on my list. Getting different perspectives is important to me; I like getting to know people from different backgrounds and immersing myself into other cultures.
What I’m doing with my life
I started out after college in business/operations/IT and after a few years decided to pursue my passion for the environment. This took me to where I am today. Personally, I'm also trying to lead a more "sustainable" lifestyle. I usually have NPR on at home and like getting together with friends, and trying my hand at taking artsy pictures through Instagram, ha. I also enjoy yoga and "fun" team sports, like kickball and volleyball.
I’m really good at
-Remembering faces
-In turn, making people laugh, sometimes unintentionally
-Letting people know what's going on around town and coordinating events
-And since 2012 -- cornhole and karaoke!
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile or that I laugh a lot and make funny facial expressions.
