First off I live in Chelsea, which may appear far but isn't really.
Its 17km north of the Macdonald Cartier bridge, which is about the
same distance as Orleans or Kanata form downtown.
More comfortable going to a house party on a warm summer night,...than getting duded up for a fancy reception. Usually don't have any problem mingling and conversing at either.
I love where I am, on a treed lot, nestled on the Gatineau park boundary. I enjoy the city and all that it has on offer,...but I don't see myself living there. On weekends prefer coffee and reading my paper or magazine at home vs walking or driving to a café.
Enjoy debating politics and trying to figure out what our economic future has in store for us. Very curious w/r to renewable energy and climate science. After house, next challenge is to design of energy efficient and affordable houses.
