My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This probably sums it up more than anything else I could say:

Anyways, I came to Brooklyn in Sept 2010 from Mississippi, and have basically loved it ever since. It definitely feels like the second (or first?) home that had once eluded me. I love the idea of mix tapes, and also books about them. I love the idea of gathering as much knowledge as possible. I try to jog as much as possible and am kind of bummed when I don't. I've also been fascinated with the idea of becoming more focused and efficient in the last year.

This song has ruled my life in 2014 (and 2015 as well):

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to acquire as many good moments as possible. Had dabbled in the music industry for years but now work for a homeless outreach non profit. So if um, finances and such play significantly into any said potential relationship, then I'm probably not the best person to converse with. Other than that, going to shows, enjoying the scene, being generally impressed by the creativity around me. I figure Bushwick has at least a couple prime years left, so I'm pretty appreciative to be around for it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- only having to walk a block or two from my apartment to find something super rad to encounter
- finding the vinyl that i was looking for
- thinking that i can beat someone in chess
- going to a diner so often to the point that I've ordered everything on the menu multiple times
- making certain kinds of music that occasionally disturbs my roommates and various animals
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a bit tallish, and I have a tendency to be quiet around people I don't know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I can't sit here and pretend I've read more than I have, but Joyce, Hemmingway, and Kerouac are good places to start. Burn Collector by Al Burian still kills it. Our Band Could Be Your Life, well it changed that. The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood jarred me in a meaningful way.

Movies: Old Hitchcock movies, film noir, any David Lynch anything, the original Star Wars trilogy, The Motorcycle Diaries, Annie Hall, Short Term 12, We Are The Best. And I'm usually down to watch copious amounts of horror movies given the opportunity.

Music: What I am hopelessly obsessed with...these folk are currently receiving my jollies: Amen Dunes, Animal Collective (probably the best band ever if you don't know), Ariel Pink, Atlas Sound, Avey Tare, Bob Dylan (always and forever), Brian Eno, Catherine Ribeiro, Flying Saucer Attack, Grouper, Julian Lynch, Lawrence English, Leonard Cohen, Lucrecia Dalt, Nico, Noveller, Panda Bear, Silver Apples, Swell Maps, Suicide, Thee Oh Sees, Vashti Bunyan, White Fence, laying on my bed and letting walls of noise wash over me

Food: I just bought a bunch of cooking equipment which means I need to cook a lot more now. So I'm going to do that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
preserving your original ideals
having a soul
art
music
inspiring conversation
my fender jaguar
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where I could go hiking/camping in the New England area
making something better
pushing myself to new levels of thought and creativity
why some art in Bushwick isn't in MoMA
why the world just can't chill out and be nicer to each other
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Honestly I've been jazzing pretty hard lately on the Drummer feature in GarageBand, just playing guitar forever to a different backbeat. Then I'm all like that was pretty awesome, and then with an air of underlying satisfaction venture out to find something that tops it. Which given the night may or may not be too hard to accomplish.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I certainly wear my Southern accent on my sleeve at times.

Also I could probably fix your computer if you asked

you're pretty rad
you want to play music with me

I'm at a certain point in my life to where I don't really want to dick around anymore, so it'd be pretty cool if you felt that way too.
