1. Try writing one and see what presents. It will usually generate some comments from people that you may wish to connect with. 2. God only knows . I have been given 90% match with guys who haven't even filled out their profile details. 3. Apparently a match will be good for romance, a friend for dinner conversation. Why they have to be separated is another god only knows question.

If the Journal is a way to solicit comments, how does it differ from a Forum? 2. I assume the OkCupid staff authors some Match questions, but I was wondering if they also borrow questions from Tests. It seems some Match questions are nearly identical to some Test questions. If they do borrow some Test questions, how do they decide which ones? I might have read they select questions which most discriminate among the answering population, but if so that only begs the following questions: 2a. If two questions divide the answering population equally among the multiple choices, then are 4-choice questions better than 2-choice questions? 2b. How are Personality Traits assigned to questions and their answers? 3. I like your distinction between Match and Friends scores, but who decides this for any given question-answer pair, and how do they automate it? By the way, I had an 85% Match rating with one wonderful lady, but only a 25% Friend rating. I think I have seen movies with this as the plot.
