My self-summary
**I don't respond to messages that just say something like "hey beautiful" or "hey, what's up?" cus I get too many of those from guys. I respond if there's more in the message.**

Everyone should have a great passion in their life; something that drives them to greatness and fuels their desire to experience more of life. I'm either ridiculously lucky or self indulgent, because I have a few good ones. Horror movies (everything from the newest over done thriller to the worst B-movies from Italy) are something I could talk about and over analyze for hours. Cooking is the art with which I am most comfortable expressing myself. Fighting for causes I believe in comes naturally to me now that I've lost the fear of being called a bitch or a complainer.

People seem to think I'm funny, which is good, because I get away with being an ass much easier that way. My humor lies somewhere along the lines of Something Positive meets A Softer World.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend a lot of my time focusing on social justice issues. I'm a proud feminist who strives for intersectionality. Understanding and improving the world around me is a driving force in my life. Existentialism has shaped my world view in the best of ways because now I strive for authenticity.

Most of the time I hang out with my burner* friends and play with fire. I spin poi, but I really haven't been trying to learn tricks, so I only know basics. I'm pretty good with the levi-wand, but I suck with a hula hoop. Being a terrible hooper didn't stop me from getting paid to hoop once. I've kind of become known for my imaginary hooping skills and the hooper characters I do... You can ask me to explain that, but it's more fun if I can show you.

*Think Burning Man, except I've yet to hit the playa. I'm just very involved with regional burns.
I’m really good at
I'm amazing in the kitchen. Italian and Indian dishes are my favorite to prepare, but I can cook almost anything. I want to start making my own fresh pasta, so I need tasters. Any volunteers?

I'm really good with animals. I can get along with a tiny kitten, a great dane, or a ten foot python. I like em all.

Oooh and random facts! I know a lot of those. I know the origins of the graham cracker. They were invented as part of a diet meant to kill your sex drive. Isn't that exciting? Wait... poor choice of words. I guess a lot of my random information is related to sex, because that's what I studied in school. Just reading about Papua New Guinea would provide enough random facts to last a lifetime.

I may be a bit well known for my internet trolling skills. I can't help it if schadenfreude is deeply satisfying. It's chocolate for the soul, that's why mine has so many cavities.
The first things people usually notice about me
Either my smile or my eyes. I'm pretty laid back, so I'm usually smiling or being goofy. I can be loud and that definitely gets me noticed. I'm just... enthusiastic. I'm always honest and I'm not afraid to say what I think. Don't worry; it's mostly charming. I'm kind of well known for my snark, and a few too many people in the burn community refer to me as "that bitch from the internet".

Being cute keeps me from getting my ass kicked as much as I probably should. Being part of a group that hosts a fighting ring at burns has definitely started to change that. I'm willing to bleed for my burn and I'm not afraid to fight.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite books are Zami: A New Spelling of My Name, Cunt, Marabou Stork Nightmare, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Bitch! In Praise of Difficult Women, Catcher In The Rye, The Grapes of Wrath, A Clockwork Orange, Pet Sematary, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Isaac Asimov's Short Stories, Of Mice and Men, Flowers in the Attic, Naked Lunch, Baghdad Burning, Parable of the Sower (the Butler novel, not the bible passage), The Count of Monte Cristo. I love to read and I could go on, but I'm not here to write my own book.

I love horror movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Night of the Living Dead, Pet Sematary, Zombie, both Halloweens, I Spit on Your Grave, Last House on the Left, Bad Taste, Dead Alive, etc. I also like other kinds of movies like The Royal Tenenbaums, Clockwork Orange, So I Married A Strange Person, Boondock Saints, Gangster Squad, Silver Linings Playbook, Virgin Suicides, Little Miss Sunshine, Imaginary Heroes, The Squid and The Whale, Once, ... Okay, this list is getting to be a little too long. I better move on. I'm also a sucker for dance movies like Footloose (the remake and the original), Center Stage, Dirty Dancing, etc.

Okay, this list isn't complete, but hell, can you name all the bands you like? Okay so Left Rights, Dillenger Escape Plan, Placebo, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Veil of Maya, The Killers, Zimmer's Hole, SOD, Alix Olson, Blondie, Ramones, Green Day, Suicide Machines, Mindless Self Indulgence, Tub Ring, Animals As Leaders, Johnny Cash, Buzzcocks, Dillinger Four, Fugazi, Frank Sinatra, The Clash, The Ghost Inside, The Specials, Rage Against the Machine, Louis Armstrong, The Queers, Rancid, Periphery, Deftones, Sex Pistols, OutKast, Firehouse, NOFX, Coheed and Cambria, Dashboard Confessional... I need to stop.

My very favorite kind of food in the world is Ethiopian. It's deeply satisfying and spicy, with complex flavors from simple ingredients. It's what food is all about. I love sushi and get regular cravings. I am a total foodie so I'll try anything three times. (Only trying something once or twice isn't fair.)
The six things I could never do without
1- Passionate, intelligent friends.
2- Dancing in inappropriate places.
3- Bad decisions.
4- Reading materials. I need new information and I need things that challenge me.
5- Pandora. I really don't own much music because I want too much. So I love my pandora. I get to listen to all the different kinds of music that make me happy.
6- My pups. I love my babies. Becky is a ridiculous pit/beagle mix. I call her my piggle. Jojo is a retriever/chow/basset mix. He looks like a black bear cub mixed with a black lab puppy. He's the perma puppy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind wanders faster than toddler heading toward a shiny object, so I don't spend a lot of time thinking about any one thing. Lately thoughts of sex scandals and world domination have kept me rather well entertained.
On a typical Friday night I am
Things in my life have gotten a bit more eventful in the last year. I feel like I have something new to do every Friday night. It keeps me busy and it mostly keeps things interesting.
