I am fast, ambitious, and relaxed.
My Self-Summary
I like
music that's
off the beaten path. I like
modern art and
sushi and
steak.
I should update this. I am just returning to this site. Honestly, I
am more of an in-person kind of person and I'm not too keen on
browsing a website to find new friends. But I do like the idea of
meeting a wider variety of people than than I meet going about my
daily activities. So, there!
What I’m doing with my life
I've already lived about two lives and I'm just starting #3. I'm
currently a student and working full-time, but have somehow struck
a balance and have an active social life as well.
I'm a former business owner, now business student. I have a degree
in anthropology and boy do I use it (not kidding).
I’m really good at
Figuring out shortcuts. Taking the long way home. Finding the best
hole-in-the wall restaurants in far-off cities. Being the social
director even though I prefer not to be. Having a really good
weekend.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am always up to something that you wouldn't expect. Or looking
for a new novel diversion. I am naturally curious and seek out
other people who are, too. I don't like quiet crafts or hobbies, I
usually want to have an adventure or work on a project.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The rapid decline in the quality of music released in the last five
years has really taught me to appreciate crap. If I can run to it
on the treadmill, and it covers up the sound of people yelling next
to me on the subway, I say bring on the crap.
Though I will prance about the gym to Justin Timberlake, I do love
soul records, dance music, and I listen to a lot of classical
too.
I am a lover of food...the stranger the better.
The six things I could never do without
1. Email,
2. Blackberry (UGH I never wanted this to even break the top
100),
3. Red meat,
4. Passport,
5. Competitive sports
6. Wall Street Journal/morning coffee routine
as Gordon Gecko said in Wall Street, "If you need a friend in this
town, get a dog." which brings us to #7:
7. my dog, and #8:
8. My friends, to text-message with dirty poetry or serious D-list
celebrity sightings around the city.
The fact that I automatically rejected the suggested number of
THINGS is significant. I tend to make my own way.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
1. what life in the US will be like in 10 years
2. various locations around the world that I can't wait to
visit
3. sports nutrition
4. new pranks for my home filming of Jackass 3
5. cookies and gummy bears (it's true).
On a typical Friday night I am
Hitting the gym, hard. Then going home and relaxing, or grabbing
dinner with a friend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I first filled out this profile because I read about this site in
an article in CRAINS that was semi-literate at best. I sometimes
take the quizzes while holding on queue in outrageous corporate
call routing systems and/or listening to Q-Tip.
You should message me if
You enjoy the good and indulge in the bad, you can talk about
obscure things for hours, you like to go out, you respect other
people, you sometimes feel shy, you don't want to start a political
debate with strangers on the street, you don't get bogged down in
details, you are doing interesting things with your life, you don't
mind my frequently lighthearted disposition.
Oops I just described myself. Message me if you think you would
like to meet the above-described person. MEET in person, not IM or
message back and forth excessively.
