My self-summary Propose an edit

I am currently in INDIA till the end of december.. i will probably not respond till then if you send me a message lol but it will amuse me when i get back if you have sent me a message (lol so i am actually on here a lot more then i expected to be, apparently lots of people like to talk about india and study abroad programs, which is pretty cool with me lol, i have internet here a lot more then i expected to - and anyone who wants to talk about ecovillages or india i am up for it!!! aim - buyingapenguin - shoot me an im..)

I came to try to figure out how to deleate this. Got frustraited and quit. Will come back to deleate it eventually

Changed my mind after taking silly tests on here for an hour or so and swapping them back and forth with a friend of mine.

I am leaving for india in about a month to go on a sustainability study abroad in an eco village in south easter india. I will spend 4 months taking cold showers, learning who i am for real and how to be more sustainble in practice rather then just by the books.

I read at least 100 pages per week year round. I have been averaging a novel a week this summer. Used book stores as as good as sex to me lately.

I am just coming out of a long distance relationship, so a relationship would be a bad idea, but i can't complain about friends - expecially not e mail/im penpals! message me for my aim name

Fencing, foil, epee, saber, ballroom dancing, waltzing, swing dancing, Lindy hop, marching band, concert band, clarinet, bass clarinet, vegetarianism, gender, swords, shiny stuff, UMASS, ear stretching, short hair, I HATE COMMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bandanas, crafts, card making, sewing, scrap booking, stained glass is my new obsession. Fair trade! Sustainability, environmental stuff. Gardening. Piercings. Houseplants. Period based activism ( i ♥ my diva cup and cloth pads!)

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am a social thought and political economy major.. women's studies minor when i get around to applying..... I eventually want to go into social work.. somthign related -- not sure exactly what yet.. After my trip this fall, i hope to have a better idea what i want to do/ don't want to do with my life. I am doing an internship while i am there, hopefully with people, not in the woods planting trees which while its important, it will not count as an internship for my major.
This summer i work 5 days a week from 6:30 am to 4-4:30 ish and have been averaving about 50 hours per week. I just finished paying off my new macbook :) which makes me happy. I am new to mac-ness and its a lot of fun!

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

1. My family. I have 2 brothers, and they have 5 kids between them. I watch my 5 neices and nephews a few days a week all summer. I don't know what i would do if i didn't get to see them for years and years
2. My cooking ability and ableness to take random ingredients and somehow turn it into a meal (being vegetarian in a large marching band does to to you)
3. Able to fall asleep when i want to, quickly, and get good sleep. Another thing 7 years of marching band teaches you
4. Being able to go outside. Even in winter i will go sit on a bench and read or just think for a while.
5. Books

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

During the summer i am spending it with my 5 nieces and nephews running around. They are 2, 2, 4 months, 5, and 8 so they are a handful, but we have a lot of fun
During the school year i am either watching Battlestar Galactica (or equally lame TV with friends), and if its the fall i am probably traveling with the marching band to all over the US and Canada to football games and shows. Not this fall because i will be in India, but every other fall for the last 6 years.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit

I can't be expected to shave my legs or under my arms. I will if i want to, but if you ask me to, or are grossed out by it, then we won't get along. I wear guys deodorant, and just found out its the same kind that my brothers wear. Oops. I talk about my family a lot. I'm sloppy with my possessions, but not dirty. I am dyslexic and misspelling doesn't bother me unless i cant tell what you are trying to say. I have no drivers license, and don't drive a car- my bike and the bus gets me most places i want/need to go.
