I am content with myself, contemplative, and quiet.

My Self-Summary

I enjoy creative things like drawings and making jewelry. I have always enjoyed rocks then 12 years ago I joined the local gem and mineral club and it exploded into reality. I do structural engineering for a living, mostly designing houses which has been challenging in the current economy. I have a couple friends that I call my Durango parents that I have gotten together with weekly for years, partly reacting to the singles' BBD's (commitment until a bigger, better, deal comes along). Tend to be quiet, am interested in many things. Like to get out but not athletic.

What I’m doing with my life

Trying to survive the economy. Have had my own office for years. I like making jewelry and want to get better at it. Have no desire make cheap stuff, want to make quality pieces that I can be proud of.

I’m really good at

Creative things. Jewelry the most obvious. Good listener, not quick to give advice.

The first things people usually notice about me

Easy to get along with, quiet, friendly.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Zane Gray is probably my favorite author. I like Louis L'Amour but Gray a better writer. I like adventure movies with heroics, the three older Star Wars movies, Harry Potter. Music mostly rock and folk, if I can't understand the words forget it. Food mostly fish and learning how to use herbs (I have a decent herb garden).

The six things I could never do without

Friends, creative outlets, my Bible, cats, time alone, challenging work.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The world situation. I don't like politics but I think a lot about it, the impact on things, whats good, whats bad.

On a typical Friday night I am

Spending time with my Durango parents. No relation but have known them for years. Both will be 80 this year. I made a personal commitment there a number of years ago. Once in awhile I do something else but it has to be for a good reason.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I need to have a huge garage sale.

You should message me if

You are comfortable with who you are. You are happy yourself, I am not required to make you happy. That you are interested in other things. That being a couch potato is not your goal in life. You like collecting rocks. You like cats. Gardening is fun. That you are a Christian.
