I care a lot about, and am involved in, Chicago's non-mainstream music and arts scene. I DJ, sometimes, and I do sound engineering for local (and not so local) bands. Despite all of this, I'm not much of a hipster. Really.

I might be funny or smart (these are up for debate, of course). But I'll never get to a point where I know everything I want to know or have done everything I think is worth doing. Why be boring?

I'm looking for someone who's creative, intelligent, and passionate about what they do. If you're a social activist, grad student, artist, or musician -- just to name a few possibilities -- then we'd probably get along well. I like people who can hold their own in a conversation, challenge me to think about things in different ways, and who enjoy debating everything from intellectual topics to whatever was on TV last night.

Hopefully we'll each have different interests that end up complementing one another, although a mutual love of Indian food will go a long way. Well, that and an evil sense of humor.

I'm honest and upfront and like people who are the same way. I'm impressed by people who take the initiative, aren't afraid to act, and are willing to take risks.

Currently a consultant for nonprofits, but I'm never going to rule out any unexpected life changes if they sound exciting.
