Grew up in Palo Alto, studied neuroscience in Georgia, worked a couple years in Maui hauling cabanas, and now I live by the beach here in SD. I've been lucky. Geography aside, I'm easygoing but stubborn, nerdy but athletic, and i'm interested in social/political issues but not in the lame way. One of the following is not an event from my life. Take a guess.

• saved a friend from hypothermia

• beaten up by a senior for playing strip tennis with his girlfriend

• cast on a reality show on a cruise ship in the bahamas

• received full rabies vaccine after an altercation with a bat. also been skunked.

• won a city tennis tournament but slipped out during the trophy ceremony because I did not live in that city

• fired for letting kids go down a water slide two at a time

I'm creative director at a Web Services company, so I work with a team to design and develop web and phone apps. I like it because I get to solve puzzles and build things all day, plus everything I learn can be applied to my own ideas and goals. The digital revolution is rapidly transforming the world and my goal is to push that process in a more democratic and humanitarian direction. I believe things like starvation, poverty and servitude are unacceptable aspects of modern existence. books: Growing up I loved mysteries and sci fi like Frank Herbert and Bradbury. Then I got into stuff like David Foster Wallace and David Sedaris. These days I read more non-fiction and technical stuff. I also like to write and draw.

tv game of thrones, breaking bad, mad men, curb your enthusiasm, the daily show, family guy, the office, parks and rec. I watch a lot of football and basketball and I fucking love DVR, apple tv and netflix.
