My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm currently debating between leaving the crappy 3 year old picture I currently have (see above), or giving in and taking a picture of myself. The thought of the latter kind of makes my soul weep. Plus I've generally taken pride in my sasquatch-like ability to limit proof of my existence to occasional, fuzzy images surfacing on the internet.

I am a very open-minded, considerate, and loyal person. I do not play games, and trust means a lot to me. I realize that's all nice and cliche but I'm listing those attributes because if they don't apply to you as well, we may not get along too swimmingly. We also probably won't get along if you have a problem with alcohol, profanity, tattoos, ITP dwelling, or onions.

I've been told by many people that they often cannot tell when I'm kidding. I tend to think this makes it even funnier. Then I kind of feel like I might be a bad person. Then I realize I'm totally OK with that.

I would not say that I am specifically looking for a romantic relationship, though I am certainly interested in one if it sorts out as such. I've found, though, that letting relationships (be they platonic or romantic) develop organically seems to pan out better than walking into them with superficial expectations and checklists.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Slowly working towards my goal of starting a non-profit law firm. Lurking on bar patios, weather permitting. Finding new and interesting things to cook and/or eat. General no-goodniking. Trying to get a band together to compete in the annual battle of the lawyer bands (yes, it does exist and yes, it is exactly as bad as you think it is).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Taking things as they come. Avoiding dancing in public settings. Turning random things into different random things. Providing cold, logic-based advice laced with compassion. Making massive kitchen messes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently that I look like Daniel Radcliffe. Since I got rid of my glasses I've been approached at least twice a week by someone who feels compelled to inform me that I look just like him. Dear people of Atlanta, I do not look like Daniel Radcliffe, and I am not interested in being your Harry Potter fantasy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I’m generally reading whatever random book someone suggested to me. I love almost anything by Mark Twain. Also, Atticus Finch is my personal hero.

TV/Movies: I really don’t watch a ton of either. I do enjoy horror movies and random documentaries. I try to catch up on Parks and Rec and the Daily Show/Colbert when I can. I’ve been trying to resist signing up for Netflix just for the new episodes of Arrested Development.

Music: I love music, and listen to all kinds (with a few notable exceptions). I won't bore you with the list of random bands, but I assure you it's versatile and awesome. I do play a variety of stringed instruments, so I'm particularly a sucker for any band that can make good use of a cello and/or violin.

Food: As far as cuisines go, they are like very different, but equally delicious children; I don't think I could pick a favorite. My regularly scheduled eating habits tend to be driven by health-related considerations as well as taste-related ones. I would probably eat a shoe if it had enough Sriracha sauce on it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends, family, and stringed things. Also coffee, rainy days, and a properly made old fashioned.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How bizarre it is that anything exists and/or that it exists in the state that it does. This usually occurs when I'm trying to go to sleep. Also, the pros and cons of getting a pet monkey and teaching it to bartend and/or wield a machete.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging around some random bar, show, or festival with friends. If it’s been a particularly brutal week, probably hanging around my house debating how early I can go to bed without feeling completely lame.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you know somewhere that has better Massaman curry than Little Bangkok, or anywhere that has a decent cheesesteak. If you are, or have a recommendation for a good tattoo artist. If you have any input into how I should redo my sad, sad patio. Or if you just want to. I can't make these decisions for you.
