I'm a professional guy living and working in Center City Philly. I work pretty hard and enjoy what I do quite a lot. I'm also an avid runner and triathlete. I can be happy going out in the city or curling up with wine and a book.

One of the hardest things in life is to be comfortable with yourself. I don't need to justify my existence by being in a relationship just so I'm not alone. That doesn't mean I want to be alone, in fact I would really like to have a partner to be my friend, lover, and confident. But it needs to be on equal terms. I want someone who is equally as comfortable with themselves, confident, and independent. But be a little immature, playful, and sarcastic, because life is serious enough.

Enjoying it, mostly. These days that means a lot of training for triathlon. When I'm not doing that I'm enjoying city life. That means I like to walk, eat, and explore.

I work a fair amount. I have a small business and we do medical research, mostly on cancer and HIV. What I do is important to who I am. I can go to work each day and learn something new.

What I'd like to be doing is sharing my life with someone who has similar interests, but also enough differences so that we can learn from each other and build something new together.

I smile and I'm polite. How do I know what people actually notice about me? I have no idea, meet me and we can answer this one.

Hmmm, this is a hard one. Variety is important!

I have pretty eclectic tastes. I like a variety of movies and I'd hate to pick something cliche. Quentin Tarantino is great but so is Star Wars. I've been known to go to animation festivals. Dr. Zhivago is one of my favorite classic movies. I do a lot of technical reading so when I relax its junk, mainly techno-thrillers.

I'm a foodie. My son is in culinary school, so I've been exposed to a lot of different foods. I've traveled around the world on business and always made a point to try something new. I really enjoy cooking, and I think it's pretty romantic if we could share a glass of wine and talk while I cooked.

I like standard jazz, classic rock, and quite a lot of current music. Honestly when it comes to music I need to hear it because it's so subjective. I went to the opera once and fell asleep. Education only goes so far!
