My self-summary
Charm City native now residing in Brooklyn. Pretty content with how things have gone in the past 30 odd years, all things considered. I dunno, I like stuff and things? What do you put here?
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a media conservator at a museum, a freelance archivist and I adjunct around town. I've somehow found a way to make a living off out of my hobby. I guess that means I need a new hobby? Currently. I'm strongly considering building ships in a bottle...do people still actively do that?

When not getting down with media, I bike around, carouse with pals, watch movies, go to shows, etc. I would say that most things are coming up Millhouse.
I’m really good at
- Expert procrastinator;
- Fairly decent at omelet making;
- obscure pop culture references;
- Jokes that involve far too many hypotheticals;
- putting my foot in my mouth;

I feel like this is some sort of job interview type question, so I'll list some things I'm bad:
- Touching my toes;
- Tennis;
- Math;
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music (admittingly skews towards the 90s/00s east coast post-punk scene): Neil Young, Fugazi, The Fall, Bad Brains, Lee Hazzelwood, Tom Waits, Sonic Youth, Devo, Harry Nilsson, Gram Parsons, The Cramps, Jesus Lizard, Shellac, Leslie Gore, The Kinks, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, The Byrds, Paul and Linda McCartney, Rolling Stones, Sleater Kinney, Wild Flag, Ceremony, The Refused, Jawbox, The Make-Up, NOU, etc.

some of the all-time favorites: Robocop, Sherlock Jr., 3 Women, Dead Man, Jaws, Cache, 24 Hour Party People, Back To School, Judex, Hot Rock, Leningrad Cowboys, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Lost Highway, Little Dieter Needs to Fly, Demonlover, Days of Heaven, The Brood, World on a Wire, Society, Zombi 2, Mystery Train, Withnail and I, American Astronaut, Morvern Callar, etc.

Books: How Video Works (Second Edition), UBIK, Man In The High Tower, pretty much all of Borges, Dune, Stranger in A Strangeland, Tortilla Flats, Snowcrash, Savage Detectives, Cat's Cradle, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Blackhole, The Invisibles, Discipline and Punish, The Order of Things, Image-Music-Text, Sandman, Perfecting Sound Forever, The Metaphysical Club, etc.

TV: Nathan Barley, The Wire, The Twilight Zone, Planet Earth, Sherlock, Mad Men, Curb, Louie, Seinfeld, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, The Wonder Years, etc.
The six things I could never do without
Family, pals, a computer(s), sharpies, something to listen to, something to read...and coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- how electricity works. It's crazy! I feel like most of my day is spent wrangling it;
- what my next scheme will be;
- realizing I need to learn calculus somehow...;
- bike routes;
On a typical Friday night I am
Up to something: out with pals, in with media, seeing a movie, going to a show, etc.
