My Self-Summary

Well, my names John. I'm pretty outdoorsy. I say things like outdoorsy. I'm cheesy, but I KNOW its cheesy thats why its funny because I time it right. I get bored, so I go on adventures. I go hiking and camping a lot. I used to go to the woods by my house just about everyday in the summer, but sadly they, the infamous they, tore them down to build a parking lot. Classic. I sail, I fish, I swim when it's nice out. I really don't like doing things in the winter though. Ice skating is ok, but honestly, I don't like the cold. Brrr.....Anyway, I also read sci-fi fantasy novels, you know dragons and wizards and whatnot and classic beat style books by guys like Kerouac and Hunter Thompson, I play video games, and I'm basically a movies junkie. I like going out and exploring a lot. Just going and walking around a town and finding neat little places to go. It's awesome. Thats how you find the BEST damn thai food......or whatever else it is that your into.

What I’m doing with my life

What am I doing with my life? Honestly, at the moment I am standing still. It's unfortunate, I know. But, I do have plans and goals and ambition. I want to write novels. Well, I am writing, but I want to sell them too. I was going to school, but, I'm a jackass and I went and got myself a drunk driving and they took my license so now I'm just trying to get by until I can flourish again.
Which will be in the fall. Or possibly summer, we'll see if I can get some free money earlier than planned. So, back to school I shall go.

I’m really good at

Writing. I feel I have excellent writing skills. And debate, I'm fairly good at that. I know random trivia about all kinds of various subjects, most of them pretty useless in the everyday world....but if I ever hail the Cash Cab.....I'm going to win me some money!

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know, I'm not other people noticing myself. But if I had to guess I'd say maybe my eyes, I've gotten compliments on them before, so yeah, I'm going to go with my eyes. Either that or my unplanned white boy fro. I'm just a hippie, I don't cut my hair until it starts to bother me. However, I'm not a big enough hippie to actually not wash my hair. Or use crystals on it or whatever.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - Big Sur, Kingdom of Fear, King and Raven, The Sweep of the Minute Hand, Breakfast of champions. Hell, I could keep listing but I'll just say any Hunter Thompson, Kerouac, or Vonegut.

Movies - I like plot driven movies. It's a rare thing these days to have a movie where the "actors" actually have to act. It seems like people can't go five minutes without an explosion or a pair of titties and it makes me sick.

Music - I hate new rap and new crappy so-called rock. I'm mostly a classic rock guy with some reggae flair, but I like stuff from just about every other genre of music as well.

Food - Yes. I like food. Most all of it. I'm not the biggest fan of middle eastern food though. But if it hails from the Orient I will gobble it all down.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything!! My damn head won't ever stop! I tend to think about weird random things. Like, how come they have chili at Wendy's but not at Taco Bell? It makes more sense for it to be at Taco Bell. Ah, yes, as my wonderful music projecting machine just reminded me, I think about song lyrics a bit.

On a typical Friday night I am

Karaoke. I'm not the best singer, but, if you've ever been to karaoke then you can trust me when I say I am most certainly not the worst. I can pull out some decent renditions of things like Dancing in the moonlight, or Hot Choclate's You sexy Thing. But, I occasionally have a few too many and end up singing Stayin Alive or something just cuz it's fun and funny and I'm drunK. Yes, drunk with a capitol K.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Well, I like my sex a wee bit on the freakier/kinkier side.
