My self-summary
I'm in a relationship with HerpMcDerperson. He's acceptable, and you should all be mildly annoyed with yourselves for not going after him when you had the chance. I didn't drug him, but I *do* feed him. It keeps stray cats coming around, and it seems to work on him too.

I am a stereotypical INTP personality. Make sure you understand the proper care and feeding of your introvert.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software engineer at a VDI startup.

I used to be a software engineer at a soulless multinational corporation, where I worked on on embedded systems for data protection and encryption. Prior to that, I spent a decade working on SCM, build, packaging, release, software distribution, and manufacturing processes.

I enjoy cooking, general geekery, working on my marine reef aquarium, and sleeping. Especially sleeping.
I’m really good at
Offending people with inappropriate humor.

Cooking for dinner parties and family gatherings.

Making sense of complex systems, and breaking them down into understandable components.

Solving problems. Particularly technology related problems.
The first things people usually notice about me
My moderately amusing t-shirt, or my cute bubble butt, depending on which way I'm facing. Possibly my eyebrows, which have been described as "Sam Waterston-y".
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books... I have a relatively short attention span for books, and end up reading a lot of collections of essays, eg David Sedaris books. Ask and I'll be happy to send you a link to my LibraryThing collection.

Movies... I like a lot of things. Being John Malkovich, Serial Mom, Helvetica, old Disney movies, Fargo, Monty Python, Office Space, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Everything is Illuminated, Polyester, etc.

Music... a little bit off the beaten track here. I didn't really listen to music until I was an adult, which is sort of odd. I like a lot of classical, jazz, r&b, and some pop. Nina Simone, Mahler, Saint-Saens, Bach, Rufus Wainwright, Regina Spektor, Amy Winehouse, The Mamas and the Papas, Dar Williams, Nick Drake, Etta James, The Nields, Faure...

Food... I'm not terribly picky, but I don't care for most seafood, and I like to be able to identify what I'm eating. Indian and Thai are especially wonderful, especially since I can't cook either one at home.
The six things I could never do without
#1) Google
#2) Corrective lenses
#3) HerpMcDerperson
#4) Delicious pork products
#5) Triptans
#6) Serotonin
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the fuck the people who framed my house 100 years ago were thinking with all the random blocking at weird angles.

How I really ought to clean more.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably working on a project, either hobby or house related. Likely swearing at inanimate objects. Planning all the things I'm going to do that weekend, of which I will actually do none.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once breast fed a man to death.
You should message me if
You have a favorite serial killer or dictator, and you're prepared to defend your choice.

You'd like to be chained to a steam pipe in my basement for several days.
