I was born a flower child and grew into a sweet & spicy, brainy, busty creative spirit with a penchant for prank-pulling.
I hope some of you are actually interested in meeting a like-minded intellectual and doesn't take himself too seriously. My career is still my priority, so I think I'd be best matched with someone who agrees but is also most productive when satisfied in his love life like I am. I don't believe in soulmates. There are probably 1000s of people in the world with whom we could each match splendidly. But all it takes is one <3
I just want to enlighten some men on here, which seems to be a lot, who do not understand what women want and unfortunately I think it's because so many fake it....this link has the statistics that i think these men don't want to concede to but too bad it's a reality:
I am currently in graduate school studying Psychology. I hope to someday specialize in Clinical Child Psychology and eventually become a clinical research psychologist. My dream would be to continue to develop and test treatments that increase healthy emotional functioning in childhood. This sort of connects with my fascination with finding what leads people to become sociopaths/psychopaths/serial killers.
So excited to be graduating in May and getting back into the clinical research workforce! Hopefully my job will have something to do with childhood psychopathology, fingers crossed!!
UPDATE: Im no longer in grad school. I am currently working as an ABA therapist and educational research assessor, I also work for a sort of hotline-app thing.
UPDATE AGAIN: I am applying to grad school again! hahaha i'm a nerd
Reflective listening, "mhmm, how does that make you feel?"
NOT judging a book (or a person) by its cover
In college, I had several part-time restaurant jobs that eventually landed me in a fine dining place that had 3 hours waits for tables in the summer. I still like to cook new recipes at home and cooking for myself isn't as fun as sharing :)
UPDATE: working in a restaurant again on the weekends and loving it!
I am really "good with" children and animals...adults too! I just have one of those faces that makes people tell me their life stories, and it motivated me to choose psychology. but as far as kids and pets, I am great at training them and they attach to me very quickly.
if i ever had time to read anything besides articles for school i would read chuck pahluniuk
When I am not reading (or probably procrastinating) I love to be social and spend time going out with friends, trivia, dancing, karaoke, trying new restaurants, traveling, pretty much anything new and different, I enjoy trying it.
I like dancing to house/industrial/hip-hop, but personally when I have my headphones on, I prefer rock. Classic, Led Zeppelin is my favorite, the Flaming Lips, I love Primus, Rage against the Machine, Passion Pit, Daft Punk. I've been listening to a lot of girly pop music lately since I quit drinking caffeine and smoking cigarettes- the louder, the better in the morning. It really makes me dance embarrassingly in public like on the T but I love it! I used to HATE and boycott pop music as an adolescent, but now I really dont care what other people thing- Katy Perry and Kesha's lyrics are dirty and hardcore!!! just listen closely. any woman who tells people to suck her dick is awesome in my book.
I love love love going to concerts. I love being outside, camping, I love to ski. I am from Rhode Island so my home is at the beach.
I studied French in college and lived in Quebec City for a year. I still love anything that has to do with French culture.
Also if you don't need this app because you're already a pro, or are willing to learn: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/07/lick-this-app-oral-sex-phone_n_4919317.html
I am wondering why everyone has "space camp" as their education? Maybe you want to ward off gold diggers? I am not one and can take care of myself with my career, but education usually translates to responsibility and intelligence, and hopefully creativity, which is really #1 in a match for me, because intelligence turns me on!! right up there with height, humor and decency (i.e., lack of douche-baggery).
