I am an IUSB graduate (B.S. in physics, B.S. in computer science). I'm relaxed and I love to laugh. I consider myself a scientist, and my tendency to investigate and understand things is interwoven into all aspects of my personality. Philosophically I'm a determinist, but I mostly compartmentalize philosophy from my everyday life, and instead focus on being scientific. I rely heavily on being logical to navigate the murky waters of life, but that doesn't prevent me from being empathetic or emotional when its appropriate. I enjoy doing almost anything, but my favorite things to do are have intellectual conversation, go to concerts, play board games, shoot pool, and ride rollercoasters. I used to play video games a lot, but new video games usually fail to be much fun. I'm always up for a day of NES though. As far as outdoor activities go, I love to disc golf, I love the water, and I'm open to almost any sport. I like to camp, especially in the Fall.

I'm a programmer at Notre Dame. I'm studying for the physics GRE and will be going to physics grad school in the future. I am also taking Jiu Jitsu for its many health and fitness benefits.

Conversation, both talking and listening.
Teaching and tutoring: I was a tutor for 3 years, I supervised a tutoring center, and I taught physics labs last summer. I feel completely in my element when teaching or tutoring someone.
Learning: I love to read about new subjects and take every opportunity to better myself intellectually.
Remaining positive in spite of unfortunate circumstances. Life isn't always easy, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let it keep me down.

Movies: American History X, anything Tarantino, Serenity, Star Trek, Green Mile, Legends of the Fall, The Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight, Butterfly Effect, The Notebook(I can't help it, there's a hopeless romantic in me)
Shows: Firefly, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Voyager, Dexter, Spartacus, Californication
Music: Classic rock (Zepplin, Sabbath, Rush), hard rock(Godsmack, Disturbed, Sevendust), 90's rock(Alice in Chains, Soundgarden) and basically everything derived from hard rock that doesn't stray too far. I could never hope to name every band I listen to. I don't like much punk rock, and I strongly dislike rap, pop, R&B, and country.
Food: Pizza is my favorite, along with Italian and Mexican, but I'll try anything. Mediterranean food is awesome too.

I'm pretty good at making due without things, but friendship, music, and access to knowledge(books, internet) are pretty important.

Everything really. I like to figure out how things work. I spend a lot of time wondering why people (including myself) do the things they do. I think about physics a lot.

If Friday night were typical, it would be boring!
