Hi. My name is David. Have you noticed a lot of people post a bunch of unrealistic BS on these dating sites? We list all these things about requirements and expectations on finding our One True Love. We are here because we are looking for dates. Yeah, sure, we all want to find that Perfect Soul Mate that God or Fate or whatever has chosen for us. But let's face facts, that hardly ever happens. And it damn sure doesn't usually happen with the first person who asks you out. I use to fool myself into thinking that was how it should work and ended up in relationships that got stale pretty fast.
I decided the best way to use this website is to cast my net wide. You don't have to be a member of MENSA or a beauty queen, but if you are moderately intelligent, not hard to look at and have a sense of humor that I can relate to, I would like to meet you. Race or religion doesn't matter unless it is something you are hung up on. By meeting, I mean going out on a casual date with no preconceived notions or assumptions. I am looking to just meet people and have a good time. (the phrase 'good time' doesn't necessarily mean sex, it doesn't necessarily preclude it either) If I eventually meet someone and we decide life isn't worth living without the other, we can worry about that when it happens.
I am electric, eclectic, and eccentric
As far as movies go, I like comedies and movies that are a little bit off the wall. Idiocracy and Trainspotting come to mind at the moment as two of the better ones I have seen.
I can take almost any music in small doses. A few years ago I would have said old rock but I have heard all those songs about a bazillion times and I got annoyed with all the oldies stations so now I have been listening to a lot of jazz and blues and a lot of obscure music on online radio stations. (I love broadband) I never used to like country music but I have discovered a lot of good stuff coming out or Texas, such as Hayes Carll and James McMurtry. (This weekend I bought a Carlos Santana and a John Lee Hooker CD)<-- OK that was quite a few weekends ago but I still listen to them quite often.
I like nearly any kind of food except for peas and sweet potatoes. I don't like soy sauce either (Does that count as food?
So it goes. OK! ALL RIGHT! Maybe this will make you people stop complaining.
OK I thought of one. For some reason I have gotten the idea that it would be fun to go to a karaoke bar. You should message and talk me out of it before I lose my karaoke cherry. Or either give me a good reason to do it.
