My self-summary
I've come to an epiphany in my life that things need to change. As such, I've decided that a great way to start this journey of rediscovery is to take a crack at college in particular the University of Washington, luckily I'm not going in blind, I do have a career path that I'm passionate about, oncology social work. Also I've been thinking of meeting new people, but as I'm sure a lot of us out there have thought, it's difficult to find the time to juggle all the responsibilities in our lives and at the same time meet someone that we can squeeze into it. A couple of friends of mine mentioned OkCupid | Free Online Dating website and thought to myself, why not... so here I am giving it my best shot, hoping that it'll be a lot of fun.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently studying at the University of Washington to attain my BA in Community Psychology, then I hope to transfer to a MA program in Social Work so that I can eventually pursue a career in Oncology Social Work... in the meantime I'm looking for ideas for volunteerism, possibly at a Crisis Center and an internship which I was dabbling with the notion of studying alongside social workers that are employed with CPS (Child Protective Services), we'll see how that goes.
I’m really good at
Hm... I've been told I'm really good at being intuitive about people, maybe that's why I'm going for a degree in Psychology. A wise man once said, "If you're good at something, never do it for free," that's very sound advice. - Heath Ledger as The Joker in The Dark Knight
The first things people usually notice about me
If I was to say what's the first thing a person usually notices about me I guess it would have to be a physical characteristic, the most recent compliment that I can remember was that someone commented that I, "...have amazing eyes," (they're green by the way, quiz on this later) not exactly sure why that is, but I took the compliment. After someone has taken enough time to sit and chat with me, I've also been told that, "I'm easy to talk too," again not sure what that means, seems rather vague but I took the compliment. Maybe if you're reading this and we end up sitting down for a coffee or a bite to eat you can eventually enlighten me on these topics.

2.) John Scalzi's, Old Man's War
3.) Christopher Moore's, You Suck
4.) Christopher Moore's, A Dirty Job
5.) Christopher Moore's, The Stupidest Angel

...movies that I've enjoyed are,
1.) The Goonies, directed by Richard Donner
2.) Up, directed by Pete Docter and Bob Peterson
3.) Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, directed by Eli Craig
4.) Ted, directed by Seth McFarlane
5.) Equilibrium, directed by Kurt Wimmer

...shows that I've enjoyed are,
1.) Doctor Who
2.) Buffy the Vampire Slayer
3.) Firefly
4.) Game of Thrones
5.) The Walking Dead

2.) La Roux

...and food I've enjoyed, as suggested by the status of my diet... pretty much like and am willing to try anything.
The six things I could never do without
This may only be five things but I think I'm going to have to refer to my good buddy, Abraham Maslow on his 1943 paper, "A Theory of Human Motivation". We start at the bottom with...
1.) Physiological needs, such as breathing, food, water, sex, sleep, homeostasis, and excretion.
2.) Safety needs which refers to the safety of: the body, employment, resources, morality, the family, health, and property.
3.) Love and belonging, such as friendship, family, and sexual intimacy.
4.) Esteem which covers self-esteem, confidence, achievement, respect of others, and the respect by others.
5.) Self-actualization, such as morality, creativity, spontaneity, problem solving, lack of prejudice, and acceptance of facts.
If you hadn't noticed, I'm studying psychology (to be more specific, Community Psychology at the University of Washington).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I don't really like to say that I spend a lot of time thinking about any particular one thing, I'd hope that I take my time thinking about priorities in my life and how to attain goals that I set for myself. However, if I was going to admit of something that matters enough to occupy my thoughts fairly often, it would probably be about the well-being of my friends and family, not to say that they have a habit of getting into trouble or happen to be accident prone... but I feel that it's to a degree flattering to say that there are people whom are significant enough in your life where you find yourself now and again wondering how things are with them.
On a typical Friday night I am
At this juncture in my life, I'd probably have to say that it would be the beginning of my studying so that I can complete my readings of whatever assigned articles are required for the next class lecture, researching thru databases for scholarly journals I can use in future presentations pertaining to the topic subject matter relevant to the course objectives as stated in the syllabus, and completing essays that fulfill requirements via my Professor's grading rubric... oh, and headaches, lots of them. UGH!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nothing is for free, you get what you give... if you're willing to make an attempt to get to know me then and only then will I talk to you about private matters, I'm not going to try and coax strangers with tidbits about my life without any effort on their part. Sorry everybody, you'll just have to try harder.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–38
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you genuinely want to get to know me, even if you have a curiosity that just needs to be sated... I'm not going to objectivity you nor will I judge you on whatever inquiries you have pertaining to subject matter about me. Trust me when I say, just be yourself, ask whatever pops into your head, and let's see where this dialogue takes us. I'm more than happy in meeting a new friend, possibly more than that, and if we find out we don't have enough in common to build upon, well it was a pleasure meeting you.
