My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just moved to San Francisco a little over 4 years ago and am still discovering this wonderful city. I previously lived in Boston for my schooling at Tufts and sure don't miss the months of bitter cold. I am a busy professional and up for meeting new, interesting people. I love to travel and I speak several languages, own several passports. I have lived abroad in Europe and in South America. I have a multicultural background so I am in good company if someone has ventured out of the shelter of the USA and has dared to live anywhere else. If you speak an additional language it is a definite plus!

I love to dance, the arts, I love to eat healthy food and enjoy fine wine. I am in love with Napa/Sonoma! I also love a Tahoe ski getaway!

I am looking to expand my network of friends and meet some interesting people. Perhaps even "the one"?

I look younger than my chronological age, and it is a double-edged sword. I am too often approached by 20-somethings at social events. I suppose it's related to the great longevity in my family (grandpa almost made it to 106). At work, I navigate enormous responsibility. Would be nice to meet people closer to my age range, though :) Can I escape this doughnut hole? Thought this might be a good place to start.

If you have intellect, culture, and higher education, then I would be pleased to meet you, and hopefully, you are not in your twenties :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in health care. Im compassionate, giving, capable of working long, hard hours, and handling immense pressure. My field challenges me personally to the full extent of my abilities, every day. Therefore, in my free time, I like to enjoy it in the company of fun, stimulating people. A sense of humor is golden.

Love in the times of Cholera, anything from Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The Alchemist. Pablo Neruda. Tolkien. Blink. The Tipping Point. Atlas Shrugged.

Movies: so many! Amelie, Talk to Her, Almodovar movies, Elite troupe, The Motorcycle diaries, Bourne series. Cinema Paradiso, Life is Beautiful, The Postman, The Lives of Others. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

Food: I'm a big meat eater. Tried vegetarian and didn't last a week, though I respect people who have that self-discipline. Love Brazilian food, Pho soup on a cold day, Peruvian food, and Thai food.

I don't watch TV...I consider it "chewing gum for the brain"

Ok, here is one: I think humility in a successful person is incredibly attractive. Braggarts are boring.

My biggest pet peeve: the California lukewarm, watered-down "yes". In the East Coast and Europe, YES means yes. Not maybe. Not yes for now until I find something else I want to do. Otherwise, just say no. Or, say "let me get back to you once I figure out my day." Say what you mean, and DO what you say. It shows good character.
