I am smart, funny, and kinda nerdy.
My Self-Summary
I moved to Chicago 7 years ago for college. I studied abroad for a
year during college and fell in love with Rome. I've studied improv
at Second City while I was trying to figure out what to do with my
Poli Sci degree. I have a pet turtle, I love coffee and the beach
(especially those two in the morning). I'm a huge fan of baking and
reading.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working retail, and looking for a new job. I'll be
going to law school next fall (2010) and, as such, am in the
process of applying to schools. In my spare time, I do improv and
sketch comedy. I've recently started running and would like to do a
triathlon sometime in the near future. I'm learning to play the
guitar, but my repertoire is limited to a handful of chords.
I’m really good at
making people laugh. I'm generally kind of shy and tend to use
humor to diffuse my awkwardness.
The first things people usually notice about me
hmm... maybe my eyes? This is a lame question...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books: too tough... recently read: Brief and Wonderous
Life of Oscar Wao, The Red Leather Diary, The Washingtonienne, Even
Cowgirls Get The Blues
Movies: Legally Blonde, When Harry Met Sally, Stranger than
Fiction, Love Actually, The American President, Dead Poets
Society
Music: I'm not that picky... I'm not real big into rap and r&b.
I prefer folksy/singer-songwriter shit, or else freshman
year-emo-pop bands (judge me, go ahead.)
The six things I could never do without
1. My phone
2. My CTA Card
3. My ID
4. My Computer
5. A sweater
6. Comfortable shoes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what my next step is. I've been going through a bit of a
transitional phase recently, with fantastic results. Right now, I'm
trying to figure out what's next.
I love my family a ton. They're in a very close race with my
"Seriously, what are you doing with your life?!?!"
self-motivational sessions.
On a typical Friday night I am
working, out with friends, or sitting at home, being super dull
(reading, sitting, watching tv, chatting, etc).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
my biggest fear is being forgotten. Unfortunately, it seeps into
everyday life: being stood up, being the neglected voicemail, that
person left over in gym class... I'm slowly, but surely, getting
over it.
You should message me if
you're interested in getting to know me better. These questions are
super lame. I'm a very interesting person once you get to know me.
And I love talking.
