My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just am. I do not believe in labels. I like people who are true to themselves. At least then I know who is actually an asshole and who is just pretending not to be. I do not care about race, religion, gender, etc. Nice people are nice people, trash is trash. Both occur in all groups of people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just started my graduate program in entomology. One step at a time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- School
- Reading
- Biology and Chemistry
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People always comment on how young I look. I still get asked what grade I am in.

I spell many things the British way: colour, theatre, etc. I had too many English people in my life during my formative years to have not picked it (and the rare break into an accent) up.

I ask "Why?" constantly. I always want to know how EVERYTHING works.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love fantasy and science fiction, so on my top shows lists are Dr Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once Upon a Time, and Grimm.

My all time favorite movie is The Princess Bride, and I also loved the Harry Potter Movies, even if books are better.

I also like anime (Japanese animation), but I do not automatically like everything Japanese. There is some utter crap out there, and there are also plenty of awesome things that come from other parts of the world.

Books are my true love, however. I enjoy Harry Potter, The Name of the Wind, and works by AnneMcCaffrey, Tara K. Harper, Simon R. Green (fantastic macabre fantasy writer), Mercedes Lackey, and similar authours.

As far as food goes, I am not very picky. I think of food as more of a necessity than anything else. Frankly, it is generally a time-waster. When I do feel the need to eat something specific, though, I love seafood, Thai, Creole, and other foods with bold flavours and spices. I am not a fan of bland foods. I tend to eat a lot of vegetarian dishes as opposed to meat, but I am not someone who opposes eating meat. I do prefer to know where my meat comes from, as factory farming does not sit well with me. I avoid processed meats when possible, too. I do not want to even think of all the nasty crap in there.

I'm a total xenophile, and I really enjoy things from various other cultures. I'm up for trying most anything. Hell, I've eaten roasted crickets and mealworms before. I tend to like the novel, so foods I have never tried (especially if they are spicy or otherwise very flavourful!) are exciting.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Books
- Animals
- Gaming buddies
- Internet (along with a working computer, of course)
- Insect collecting gear
- My phone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend the most time thinking about school (mostly ideas for my thesis...) or daydreaming.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing at home, playing a MMO (or my addiction: Harvest Moon), reading a book, or watching one of my favorite shows. Lately Friday nights have involved hanging out at the local bar with other grad students, then going home to read literature.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm bisexual, yes, but that doesn't mean I'm automatically looking for a threesome. Been there, done that, it was awesome. I'm with someone now, and I'm happy.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want a loyal friend, a penpal, or just someone to talk about science with. You can send a more eloquent message than "Hey" or "Sup". You are willing to wait while I forget I have this account, then suddenly remember and go check my messages.
