My self-summary
Time to overhaul this for the millionth time because of REASONS.

I'm maybe two more world-shaking life events and 11 felines away from becoming a crazy cat man. Or maybe zero more world-shaking life events and 11 felines away, just because I really like cats.

I play Magic: The Gathering. And I have a regular twice-monthly D&D group. So what I'm trying to say is I'm a nerd, but less in the "I've written fanfic about [x] TV show/movie/novel" way and more in the "I spend way too much money every month on colored cardboard" way.

I have 14 piercings and 4 tattoos and I have plans for more of each. Body modification is a big passion of mine, so if you're not alright with that, we probably won't get along.

I love music. A lot. Like, "if I didn't spend so much money on colored cardboard every month I'd just be spending it all on vinyl" a lot.

My friends say I'm the real-life incarnation of Grumpy Cat. It's the greatest compliment I've ever received.
What I’m doing with my life
Job-hunting and playing a lot of Magic and cuddling with my cat and drinking whiskey. Sometimes all at once!
I’m really good at
I'm good at being a grammar Nazi, which is probably for worse than for better. I'm good enough at the dorky card game I play, so I guess that's something. I'm good at baby-talking to cats and dogs, so clearly I'm the world's biggest catch. I'm good at "accidentally" being a hipster when it comes to music and literature, and that's obviously a phenomenal testament to my character.
The first things people usually notice about me
My piercings and tattoos are usually the first thing to catch peoples' eyes. And my ridiculously curly hair. Also I'm kind of loud when I talk. And awkward. Yes, awkward. That. Um.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books -- I've been so incredibly bad about reading regularly of late. That said, I'm trying to reignite the bookworm bone in my body, so here's a shortlist of favorite authors: David Foster Wallace, Milan Kundera, J.D. Salinger, Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, Vladimir Nabokov

Movies -- I'm even worse about keeping up with movies. I probably couldn't tell you most of what's playing in major movie theaters right now. Shortlist of films I HAVE seen that I enjoyed: The Dark Knight (and Rises), Russian Ark, Fando Y Lis/The Holy Mountain, The Sacrifice, Akira, Princess Mononoke

Music -- Okay, now we're in my wheelhouse. My favorite band of all time is Radiohead. I have a Radiohead tattoo. I'm strangely not ashamed of this. I mean, have you ever really listened to "Let Down?" Just try and tell me that song is anything less than perfect.

... moving on, here are some other all-time favorites: Built to Spill, Joanna Newsom, Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Arcade Fire, Neko Case, Talking Heads, The Knife, Björk, Sigur Ros, The Walkmen, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Smiths, The Microphones/Mount Eerie, My Bloody Valentine

... and here are some musicians I've been digging recently: Y La Bamba, Kendrick Lamar, Waxahatchee, Hundred Waters, James Blake, Jessie Ware, Rhye

Food -- I'm of the opinion that most food is pretty great. Thai foods and Italian foods are a little greater than most others in my mind, but I'm not the type to complain about a quality meal. I was born and raised in Montana, so I'm never going to claim to have a particularly cultivated and/or discerning palate.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
Good conversation
Physical affection
Music
Food
Sleep
Shelter

... what? Have you tried not eating/sleeping/having a place to live? That shit's hard.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What if humans had pouches for their young like marsupials do? What if creative genius is merely ghostly possession? How fucked are we as a species going to be if Kant's notion of objective morality is actually a thing that is correct?

My head is more or less constantly filled with bizarre thoughts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking with friends. Or reading. Or at home trying (and probably failing) to sleep. I'm a terribly exciting person, clearly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a 0g Prince Albert piercing. And I'm kinky. These are somewhat related, so I'm putting them both here.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi guys
  • Ages 19–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, casual sex
You should message me if
You made it all the way to the end of my long-ass profile. Seriously, I owe you a drink for that alone.

You have tattoos and piercings (I'm pretty sure other modded people are the closest thing I have to a "type").

You want to get pierced or tattooed together.

You want to go on a date. Perhaps one flavored with coffee or alcohol or food or some combination thereof?

You want to, in general.
