My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Last year I quit my job, sold almost everything I owned, left Seattle and headed south. I drove down the West coast, through Mexico and into Central America. Eventually I stopped in Nicaragua for about five months. After about nine months of surfing, diving and playing guitar (and eating a lot of fantastic food), I decided it was time to come back. I liked San Francisco a lot, so this is where I came back to.

The Most Interesting Man in the World is my role model. I am not yet as interesting as he is. But let's be honest -- he's a lot older than I am, and he also has the advantage of being a fictional character. I think I am probably about as interesting as he was at my age.

I think most people should calm down a little and take things less seriously. If reading that pissed you off, you really should calm down and take things less seriously. And you should probably move on and try to find somebody more high-strung. Someone more like you.

I sing, I play guitar, and I like climbing big mountains. I think most people take too many photos and should spend more time enjoying the view. I try very hard to obey the golden rule of "be excellent to each other".
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm working for a hardware startup in SOMA. The product is awesome and the people I work with are great, which adds up to a pretty excellent job. I'm also plotting my next big climb.

I keep a short list of singers who, if I ever become able to sing as well as one of them, I will drop everything else in my life and spend my days wandering the streets singing to women I meet. They are, in no particular order, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, Khaled and Van Morrison. I'm always open to suggestions for additions. But the bar is high.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing. I write very well and I write very fast. It's a big asset in my line of work. Although I try not to be a grammar / spelling Nazi, it will piss me off if you misspell words or don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". I should probably calm down and take things less seriously. Working on it.

Beyond that, I'm good at a lot of things, but truly great at few if any. Jack of all trades, master of none. I'm OK with that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have to be honest, I've never really thought much about this. It's not that I don't care what others think of me (I do, and so does everyone else, whether they admit it or not). It's just that I don't think much about what other people see when they look at me.

I'll have to ask around and get back to you with what I find out.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I've always thought it would be pretty great to be an art thief. Seems like a great way to be a gangster without getting gangster-whacked.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to watch Donnie Darko with me. You're a girl drummer and you want to start a band. You have 1968 Fender Mustang you want to give me. You think people use facebook too much.

But let's be real. You're not going to read this and message me. You're going to read it after I message you. That's how online dating works.
