My self-summary
Hello! This is me on the internet. fun, a little impulsive, educated, passionate. I don't have the best filter sometimes and I'm okay with that. You'll have to be too.

Pretty resilient with an abiding sense of doom. I'm a negative Nancy, Debbie downer, slouchy Susan -- whichever superlative you'd like. Those kind of girls don't like clubs or bars but they still like guys so that's where I come in [I'm being facetious here].

I like my job. I'm a high school teacher. I love the idea of getting better at it each year and doing something that's solution oriented. I like karaoke, trivia, music, movies, music. I think OKC algorithms are crap. I love exercise. I'm not a slob and I'm not romantic in the traditional sense but I'm on this site so c'mon okcupid. Get with it~!

I'm not sure what I'll be doing in the next 5 years but message me if your goals include finding someone to read in bed with :-) Happy trails.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've got obscure interests and common tastes like everyone

I am open to suggestions. I listen to bad hiphop, ironically or sincerely depending on the day.

I like books. I like MIA, embarrassing Bonnie Raitt, touchy feely Luther Vandross, snotty Chopin. I'm all over the place but if you want to get in my pants keep it simple.

Constant, distracted reading is sort of my thing. I like classics, Murakami, nonfiction, Graham Greene, Proust and anything written with enough care to completely absorb me into another world.

I like cartoons, campy, scary stuff, art house movies, tech news, running blah blah. I strongly identify with the movie What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Don't ask. Freeway is a pretty good movie. Groundhog day is pretty awesome too. Short term 12 was the best movie I've seen in years.

I am not a culture snob but I tend to like things that are a curious combination of the serene and energetic. Okay, maybe I am a little snobby. I think this stuff is all good fodder for good starter conversations. open to suggestions.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hate when people use the phrase "common sense". If you understand why we should talk. My foul mouth is the biggest thing you have to worry about.
