The long and the short of it, I'm a no-bullshit, loving, strong, generous woman. I'm looking for love with somebody who is light hearted, generous, a deep thinker, spiritually fit, and has a desire, willingness and ability to support teenagers--not that I have any, but foster youth matter to me.

I'm looking for a real relationship. I'm not here for hook ups. But these things take time, I'm not looking to latch on to the next guy I meet.

WORK: I work my ass off to make the foster care system a little less heinous...maybe even good sometimes.

movies: The Empire Strikes Back, Out of Africa, Moonstruck, When Harry Met Sally, Four Weddings and a Funeral. I like James Bond and happy art films. Dreary art films--hang me puleez!

Overall, I like books and movies that keep me in touch with adolescent psychology, pop culture and provide me with some benign fantasy escape.

Music: as long as it has soul and a good groove, i can appreciate it. or if i can sing along, that's nice too. a few all time faves: Jose Gonzalez, Martin Sexton, Citizen Cope, Lily Allen, Michael Franti and Spearhead, the Police, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, Amos Lee, Ben Harper, the Coup, and of course, strong women R&B...

Food: healthy, international, sustainable, simple, sugar.
