I have been sick the past few days, so apologies for completely ignoring all messages.

This okcupid thing is still kind of scary to me.

The Sword in the Stone

Nov 3, 2009

I have succumbed to the pressures of okcupid promising to raise my profile completion percentage if I journal, so here goes.

One of my favorite movies when I was a kid was The Sword in the Stone.  I just rewatched it the other day and realized it's still one of my favorite movies.  It's pretty gosh darn hilarious and the voice actors are brilliant.

My favorite quote from the movie (and one of my favorite quotes in life) is sung when Merlin and Arthur turn into fish.

"Set your sights upon the heights, don't be a mediocrity (A mediocrity?) That's right.  Don't just wait and trust to fate, and say that's how it's meant to be.  It's up to you how far you go.  If you don't try you'll never know.  And so, my lad, as I've explained, nothing ventured, nothing gained".

If a quote from a kid's movie can touch you in the same way it touches me, then you should message me.
