My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a laid-back, coffee-loving, son of the Northwest now living in Washington, DC. I'd call myself uncomfortably honest, others would say I lack tact, but I'm working on that! I value honesty and loyalty in a friend or more-than-friend above all. I read political magazines and blogs voraciously, but I've been getting into novels, especially Tom Wolfe, prodded by a friend. My music of choice is indie rock, jazz and electronica. Favorite band is The New Deal, whose techno jam band antics I've seen 4 times in concert. I enjoy biking, hiking, going to the beach and hanging in coffeehouses and lounges. Favorite TV show is Arrested Development. Despite my cultural preferences, I'm more conservative than liberal, but I try not to use politics to beat up on others or set litmus tests for friendship. I'm a Christian by belief, not culture, but not serious enough in practice, to my discredit. My religious beliefs don't dictate my politics, however, and I don't align well with either Bible-thumpers or relativists in the larger church.

I am wry, quickwitted, and analytical
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a technology journalist. My beat is Internet regulation and business, which fits with my interests pretty well. Issues I cover regularly are cybersecurity, file-sharing, online privacy and identity theft.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Editing other people's writing to make it more concise and grammatically correct, clean up spelling and punctuation, and liven up word choice. I make a mean cup of coffee or espresso and have often been called a snob about it.
