My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
On the whole, you'll find that I'm expressive, whimsical and warm with plenty of freckles, curls, and quirks.

I love planning events and with maturity I've begun to develop the super power of actually being in the moments I work to create.

My capacity for joy is unreal. Unreal. I get disappointed too, I've just gotten better at not lingering there for long.

Every now and then when ordering drinks I ask the bartender to surprise me. Worst case scenario: "surprise - bad drink". Usually I end up discovering something great that's not on the menu.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Soaking up as much culture, both foreign & artsy, as I can manage. I rarely pass up an opportunity to visit the ICA. The Tara Donovan installation was my all time favorite. Checked out the Shepard Fairy opening eons ago and thought his use of derivative iconography was interesting even though it's not necessarily my bag. More recently, Barry McGee - loved it.

It took a while, but I stumbled upon the antidote to apathy four years ago: citizen-driven, regular-Joe/Josephine micro-philanthropy. I dove in head first and supporting the spread of this movement and the amazing people involved has become a calling of sorts.

Temping while looking for a full-time gig. Ze billz zey must be paid and freelancing just wasn't for me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Alphabet soup. I love making up new words.

Marathon bargain shopping. 8 hrs with me - you'll probably get more compliments per $ spent than your cumulative wardrobe budget from the past 2 years.

Writing/editing online copy: invites, dating profiles, Kickstarter-type fundraising campaigns, et al.

Making the people in my life feel good about themselves - loved, appreciated, supported, understood, accepted, and all that good stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me

My laugh. It usually precedes me.

Hollandaise sauce makes me happy.

Music: Jamiroquai, Shawn Colvin, Stevie Wonder, Colin Hay, Paulo Nutini, Yma Sumac, Ben Taylor Band, Al Green

Craig Ferguson = dreamy and, to my chagrin, off the market. :(

Surprisingly, I'm kinda into 'American Ninja Warrior'. I mean there've been several seasons, and still no title holder. Mount Midoriyama ain't for wussies.

Mitch Hedberg.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. my MacBook and Droid phone. I consider them a unit.

2. unsweetened iced tea

3. a stylist able to cut curly hair

4. roadtrips
i. car
ii. mapbook/GPS device
iii. time
iv. co-conspirator

5. real down-home BBQ

6. dictionary.com
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Girly stuff:
clothes, boys and my next pillow fight

Geeky stuff:
how technology changes the way we relate to one another

Goofy stuff:
LOLcats, ninjas and monkeys
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably trying to tame my inbox. Friday isn't the make-or-break social barometer night it was back in the day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I didn't learn how to snap until I was 18, near the end of my freshman year of college. Had my extracurricular activity of choice been anything other than singing in an a cappella group, this wouldn't have been an issue. Fake snapping? That's, like, dork² - to the max.

Now I mostly sing along with the car radio. Of course, when I'm driving I don't snap (hands - 10 and 2). Harmonizing doesn't seem to compromise safety so I stick with that.

You're a solid guy. Your friends and family rib you mercilessly, and you dish it right back. Behind your back, they say the nicest things about you and can't help but smile while they're doing it.

You're a bit of a goof. There's this sparkle in your eyes that gives away your penchant for mischief, but it's clearly the goodhearted variety.

Hmmm... What else? You love good banter. Our rapport: off-the-charts intergalactic. Maybe not off-the-bat, but definitely once we warm up to each other.

Chances are you have a creative streak, but I dunno - you tell me.

Srsly... fill me in.
