My self-summary
I know the difference between you're, your, and yore.

I appreciate humor in all its forms: a cerebral/witty comment or clever turn of phrase, downright ridiculous situations (they do make the best stories) but laugh the hardest at simple things like a friend’s silly facial expression or exaggerated dance move.

I'm a romantic, but not in a typically commercial sense. The day-to-day things make me melt, like opening your kitchen cabinet and seeing that you picked up my favorite cereal.

I am freckled, expressive, and wicked smahhht ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Working on my writing. I'm more comfortable with essays, and would like to expand my comfort zone to include longer form pieces and perhaps fiction.

Soaking up as much culture, both foreign & artsy, as I can manage. I rarely pass up an opportunity to visit the ICA. Tara Donovan installation was my all time favorite. Also checked out the Shepard Fairy opening and thought his use of derivative iconography was very interesting.

Making the people in my life feel good about themselves - loved, appreciated, supported, understood, accepted, and all that good stuff.
I’m really good at
I have a savant-like ability for finding the perfect greeting card for any occasion.

Alphabet soup. I love making up new words.

Marathon bargain shopping. 8 hrs with me - you'll probably get more compliments per $ spent than your cumulative wardrobe budget from the past 2 years.

Writing/editing online copy: invites, dating profiles, Kickstarter-type fundraising campaigns, et al.

Eating ice cream.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh. It usually precedes me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hollandaise sauce makes me happy.

Music: Jamiroquai, Shawn Colvin, Stevie Wonder, Colin Hay, Paulo Nutini, Yma Sumac, Ben Taylor Band, Al Green

Craig Ferguson = dreamy and, to my chagrin, off the market. :(

"The Soup" on E! (Great way to get your recommended daily allowances for comedy, horror and drama.)

Mitch Hedberg.
The six things I could never do without
1. my MacBook

2. unsweetened iced tea

3. a stylist able to cut curly hair

4. roadtrips
i. car
ii. mapbook
iii. time
iv. co-conspirator

5. real down-home BBQ

6. dictionary.com
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Girly stuff:
clothes, boys and my next pillow fight

Geeky stuff:
how technology changes the way we all relate to one another

Goofy stuff:
LOLcats, ninjas and monkeys
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably trying to tame my inbox. Friday isn't the make-or-break social barometer night it was back in the day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I joke about adopting a foster monkey. It's highly improbable but the idea amuses me.

That's not particularly private. You'll probably have to stick around a few months/years to get to the juicy stuff.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 34–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
You're a solid guy. Your friends and family rib you mercilessly, and you dish it right back. Behind your back, they say the nicest things about you and can't help but smile while they're doing it.

You're a bit of a goof. There's this sparkle in your eyes that gives away your penchant for mischief, but it's clearly the goodhearted variety.

Hmmm... What else? You love good banter. Our rapport: off-the-charts intergalactic. Maybe not off-the-bat, but definitely once we warm up to each other.

Chances are you have a creative streak, but I dunno - you tell me.

Srsly... fill me in.
