My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello, I'm (Pittboss04 for people on quickmatch) Michael, and it's time for my annual update to this profile! I'm in my fourth year of medical school at LECOM and an aspiring neurologist. I'll tag neurology and assume that very few, if any, other people have tagged that. I'm currently studying to take step 2 of the boards, which is a rather difficult test, but I feel more prepared for this than I did step 1 last year. The way medical school works, the first two years involve sitting with a book plastered to your face in the hopes that you'll somehow remember every small detail in there. The last two years are rotations, where we learn about what we were supposed to have learned the first two years and every once in a while are able to recall some small factoid that makes us feel smart. Every once in a while we're able to help in the care of a patient, which is a great reward in its own self. Between going to different hospitals and studying, there usually isn't a lot of free time, but I'll always make time to have fun and do the things I want to do. I'm a good scrabble player (michaelh on ISC), a pretty good chess player, an adequate tennis player, and a worthwhile basketball player to have on your team. I have a 6'6 wingspan, so I take pride in my defense, and every once in a while will score. I love to read but don't have the time to read for pleasure at the moment- except the NY Times and Sports Illustrated. I wish I was a better cook, but that will be remedied one day. I'm quite easy to get along with, although I'm sure I come across as being shy. That's probably because initially I'm sure I am. I don't drink and I don't smoke and I'm strongly against drug use- probably for the same reason I want to become a doctor- I think being healthy is a good thing. So I try to limit the amount of toxins I put into my body. That said, I go to a bar in Scranton every Monday night for a trivia contest, where I'm sure my friends love me, because I usually end up winning a free beer (which I then give to them). Oh, and that's one more thing I should mention about myself. I'm a big believer that people have an inherent right to make informed decisions about their own life. So, if you want to start smoking and you know all the risks involved, and have an extra 2500 dollars a year to burn away... then by all means do so. But also realize that I won't want to date you if you do make that decision ;-)

I am dedicated, trustworthy, and thoughtful
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Learning about weird syndromes that maybe 2 people have ever had one Earth but that the boards will try to trick me on by asking.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
math, word games (e-mail me if you ever want to play scrabble or literati, I'll take all comers ;-)), blocking people's shots in basketball
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Despite being 6'2, I'm not sure if many people notice me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
food, friends, new things to learn, the sun, umm... someplace to play sports or run or swim, and I guess my vision (sorry, but I can't really think of things that I absolutely couldn't part with if I had to).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
anything and everything... if it's a thought, there's a good chance I've thought about it at some point or another. I may have even thought about you *cue creepy music*
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Studying, playing WoW, playing scrabble, seeing a movie, if I'm lucky playing a sport of some sort...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have never seen and never plan on seeing any of the Star Wars movies.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Well I'm always interested in meeting new people, so if you want to talk, either on line or in real life, maybe play some frisbee golf or go bowling (even though I'm pretty bad) or pretty much anything else, or just to find out some more about me (and likewise for me to find out more about you) then just send me a message.
