Hello Sweetie! (Bonus points if you get the reference)

My life doesn't suck. I've always been remarkably fortunate. Great friends, people who care about me, a flexible career. I love travel, food, movies, good wine, good Scotch, and interesting people.

For the last four years, I lived the life of a Laptop Bedouin. I got paid to fix problems and create things, all from my laptop at your local coffee shop. I had a nice, flexible schedule, which was good for travel, movies and the occasional Giants game.

I've gone on several long motorcycle trips, including one that circled all of the lower 48 states. Last summer I drove to Alaska.

Recently I returned to the office world, sadly causing Starbucks stock to drop by 10%.

Talking to strangers, finding amazing "hole in the wall" restaurants, and lucking into incredible experiences.

That I'm in a perpetually good mood, and I have a particularly cool collection of shirts.

Movies, both silly and classic. The other night some friends asked what five movies trap you when you flip channels. My list included Blazing Saddles (any Mel Brooks actually), Princess Bride, Shawshank Redemption, The Departed (Most Scorsese) and Ocean's Eleven.

My mom was a librarian, so I love a good book. My favorite is Don Quixote, but I love histories and biographies, a good thriller, and fun travelogs. I just finished Ready Player One, which was almost entirely about 80's trivia.

Coffee, my iPhone, iPad, good food, my MacBook, and my motorcycle.

My next long motorcycle trip. How much coffee is too much coffee? Should I invest in a Tiki bar?

Hanging with friends, trying that great new restaurant in the City, or kicking back and serving no useful purpose.

Isn't that the definition of private? ;)
