My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My homes are Sarasota, Florida & San Francisco Bay Area, CA when I'm not traveling for 3-6 months at a time working as a mental health consultant at US military bases overseas. I've worked or traveled in 15 countries since Sept 2012, and I still have wanderlust.

I was born Jewish and while I highly respect my culture and heritage it is not my religion. I've been deeply influenced by Buddhist philosophy and I have strongly identified as Pagan for many years. Essentially I am deeply spiritual and not religious, and I approach life with curiosity, integrity and playfulness. I have a life-long passion for theater/performing arts, relationships, nature, conscious sensuality, communication, and Waking up the World by whatever means necessary. I am extremely grounded and spontaneous, sensitive and bold, serious and whimsical, and I have a healthy balance of solid values and radical progressiveness.

Some characters/roles I play: Philosopher, Educator, Friend/Lover, Trouble Maker, Eternal Child, Writer, Comedian, Musician....

I am Awake, Playful, and in my Purpose
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an East Coast transplant (from NJ to FL to CA). Since May of 2011 I've been on hiatus from my healing private practice in Oakland (Psychotherapy, Coaching, Hypnotherapy, Spiritual Counseling, Massage, Sound Healing, Reiki, Somatic Education) - while I travel as a mental health consultant. I dabble with piano and singing, and I'm rarely without some sort of hand drum. I'm enjoying getting into photography, especially while traveling (I have the eye for it, if not the technical prowess).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Counseling, dancing/singing, playing and reveling in absurdity, skillful touch/massage, hand drumming, holding space for our brilliance and our shadow, communicating, using various dialects/accents/improv play, entertaining and helping children and grown-ups heal, putting my full attention on a person, being of service, truth-telling, helping people bridge the thinking and feeling self, appreciating beauty in all forms, being a dork, exploring puns as the lowest and highest form of humor, getting cats and dogs to trust me, friendship, catalyzing awakening and verbal banter. Ultimately, I strive to witness people at their essence and I am a fierce advocate for their freedom...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My direct and outspoken passion, presence, and intelligence.... and my Playfulness, I hope!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: Sushi (probably my favorite), Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, Seafood, and yes... I love a good burger or pizza. I enjoy trying new things while trying to be a balanced omnivore.

Random Books/Authors: Infinite Games, The Alchemist, A General Theory of Love, The Prophet, Richard Bach, Orson Scott Card, Robert Heinlein, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The Life of Pi, Ken Wilber. I enjoy sci-fi/fantasy (Dune, Harry Potter, etc), and I keep current on world events and news articles on various subjects.

Live Theater: I absolutely love live theater. Here's a sampling of some recent adventures...
Plays/Musicals: Peter Pan, Wicked, Pirates of Penzance, American Idiot (Green Day), Arabian Nights, La Boheme, Henry IV, Next to Normal

Movies: Yes, I'm a big fan of movies (and particular TV shows like Family Guy, Dexter, True Blood, and Glee). I have diverse tastes -- from Indie and Foreign Films to mainstream (both popular and Oscar-worthy), and even Musicals (from South Park movie to My Fair Lady).
Some tried and true favorites: Neverending story, Princess Bride, Star Wars, Dark Crystal, Magdalene Sisters, My Left Foot, Waking Life, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Motorcycle Diaries, What Dreams May Come, Moulin Rouge, Like Water for Chocolate, Fight Club, Snatch, Harry Potter, Amelie, etc.

Music:
I like many types of music, and my collection ranges from Violent Femmes to Vivaldi. I've been to classical concerts and folk music festivals, but I've also enjoyed concerts like Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I love Jazz, Funk, Opera, Classic Rock, Hip Hop (mostly for dancing) and yes... I am a Man who shamelessly loves his '80s music. Would love to start Swing Dancing (or blues dancing)....
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friendship & Playfulness (laughter and smiles)
Animals/Spirituality/Nature (Especially Oceans)
Intellectual Conversation
Loving Touch / Intimacy
Music / Creative Expression / Theater
Being of Service
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How blessed I am to be alive on Earth...
The pain and shame of bad spellers (non-native speakers are exempt).
Why people believe everything they think...
How to integrate my skill-sets/passions into the most challenging and rewarding professional career...
How to be of Service...
The next adventure that's coming...

My stunning and brilliant circle of friends...
Recognizing and reveling in the dance between the mundane and the divine, the intersection of wisdom and intellect, and the true joy and presence that are possible when we are willing to be vulnerable and PARTICIPATE!
How to be courageous and express myself more through music, improv, spoken word, comedy....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Each moment is unique, rare, precious, and unpredictable. Beyond my philosophical indignation with this question, I'd say live music/theater, community events, friends, staying at home reading or decompressing from the week, resting up for a fun weekend, and trading in my respectable day persona and morphing into my own Superhero....
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cannot cross my eyes, I've tried.
I'm sapiosexual, meaning I'm attracted to intelligence. I think I was born this way...
