My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm usually a pretty motivated and ambitious person - I'll throw myself completely into whatever I'm doing. This is pretty good for getting work done, but it also means sometimes I'll binge read about something random for a week then realize I was never going to pick up whatever new hobby (at least anytime soon). In my spare time I like to play sports, read, or go out.

Right now I'm staying busy with med school. I also want to keep up with current events and be a good citizen. In general , I want to keep my mind open and be a critical thinker even when it'd be easy not to (channeling DFW here).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend most of my days studying brain trauma (and just about anything else related to gray or white matter).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Telling crappy stories. IDing samples in songs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably how I look aloof.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Just a couple highlights-

Music: Right now I'm listening to Arcade Fire, The Magnetic Fields, Crystal Castles, MF Doom, jazz (more Weather Report or Bela Fleck, less big band) and whatever classical music I can't stop looping on youtube are getting a lot of play (Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt = yes, Mozart = NO).

Podcasts: Cracked, Slate Culture Gabfest and Political Gabfest, Hardcore History

Magazines: NY Review of Books, New Yorker

Books: Anything by Chuck Klosterman or Kurt Vonnegut, Catch-22, The Iliad, Norwegian Wood, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Box Office Poison

Movies: Mostly into PT Anderson, Wes Anderson, Coen brothers, Tarantino and other stereotypically indie-ish stuff.

Not really into TV, but I've watched and enjoyed these in the past: Freaks and Geeks, Daria, Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, The Sopranos, Arrested Development, early The Office (US)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Family and friends
- Life of the mind stuff
- The outdoors - fresh air/cool water/clear skies
- Exercise
- Noise-cancelling earbuds
- Greek yogurt
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What music I should listen to next. What journal articles to print. What to eat.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, out with friends, or chilling out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have an irrational fear of dying from a bee sting.
