My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have been moving around since my birth, around France at first, then a little bit (3 years) in Italy. In 2008 I decided after two trips to Tokyo that I would move here, after discovering how great Tokyo was...
Since then, I've been struggling to learn japanese... Or more like struggling to start learning again... I have a bar-conversational level which allows me to make new friends in bars, but would never allow me to work in that language.
I'm a computer guy, yes, a geek surely, but I belive in CS as a mean, not an end. Which is why my place is not full of computers and things (well, there are a few but they're nicely hidden ;)
I don't consider moving back to France, maybe if I get tired of Japan someday I will move, but elsewhere, not back.
I am also a generous, trusting person - but I'm not naive either.

I am outgoing, smart, and funny
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying my life !
No, really, it takes a lot of effort to do that properly ;)
I moved to Japan because the quality of life seemed so much better, and I am so far not disappointed by it... Restaurants, bars, cooking (I found raclette cheese for my raclette machine !)
I also watch a lot of american/british TV shows, and movies.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh
Creating new delicious cocktails
Analyzing people
Making people not believe I'm a ninja
Supporting someone
Being crazy (in a good way - I once danced waltz over the Seine with a total stranger)
Making new friends - maybe that guy sitting in front of me in the subway could my best friend
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I speak english with a relatively correct accent for some reason
My smile

Well honestly I don't spend my time asking people what they first notice... I could say that my nihongo is jouzu, but I'm aware they say that to everyone soooo...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I use to read a lot, now a little bit less... So books would be hmmm, The Art Of War, the Eragon serie, Predictably Irrational, James Clavel's, Aldous Huxley, Anne Rice (but not the Sleeping Beauty trilogy), and tons of others...

Movies, it really depends... I like old movies - well, as in 80's 90's. The Godfather of course, Requiem for a dream, The Princess Bride, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, District 9, Doberman, Calmos, La vita e bella... I believe a good movie has to have both aesthetic and meaning. Fun is also a good quality :)

Music I like everything, but I do tend to avoid all the new RnB, for me it's really all the same soup of sounds... Otherwise I roll with minimalist techno, rock, anything... Oh and you have to hear me sing jewish raggae in karaoke.

As for food, I like about everything as long as it's well cooked. I cook myself, and I can make a really good french style steak, as well as some thai shrimps, a tajin or a mean mean chicken curry.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sparkling water. I'm addicted to it and there's always a few empty bottles around in my flat.
Good friends. And I'm not talking about night-out fillers, but the one that really understand you and won't judge you whatever you do.
Internet connection ? I believe internet really changed a lot in our lives, and that we're only now starting to understand the impact.
Humor. Nah, just kidding.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I should live my life, how I can enhance it. Not that I'm sad or anything - quite the opposite - but I don't want to be prisoner of the status quo.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
drinking in a bar with friends, bringing chaos to the party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't stand text messages spelling ?
No really if it's private it has nothing to do here anyway...
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you want to meet up. I'm not crazy about messaging for ages, and I do believe there is no way to truly know someone unless it's face to face.
Of course, you can also message me if you have a question, comment or flame, I will answer, but my goal is eventually to meet up !
