Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I see you have just clicked on my profile and I suppose you are now
thinking one of three things.
A: You just came here to see my pictures. In that case feel free to
check them out now. I took some myself as photography is a newfound
B: After clicking on my profile you immediately realized you've
made a huge mistake. In which case take a deep breath and slowly
and calmly hit the back button. Everything will be okay. There are
hundreds of weirdos on here to send you dick pics(I'm not quite
that weird), nothing to worry about.
C: You have read up to this point for a reason and are interested
in knowing more about me. If you thought C then congratulations for
reading this far. Hello again and let me tell you about myself. I
am a social worker and am very passionate about what I do. After
college I lived in northern Ontario and worked at a treatment
centre for aboriginal youth on a reserve for close to a year. Now I
work with developmentally delayed adults at a group home and I
truly enjoy what I do. I am a badass and a gentleman with a good
heart at the same time. I am a longboarding, musical fellow, and I
love a good debate, philosophical conversation or general shit
shooting session. I prefer talking in person or on the phone to
talking on the computer and love meeting new people. I am genuine
and passionate about life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a social worker. Leaning everything.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Opening stubborn jars
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My glasses and beard
My good vibes
My golden smile?
My charming wit?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Autobiographies of rock stars are my favorites. I also like
philosophy. The books I enjoy most are written in the first person
perspective (A Long Way Down, Catcher In The Rye, and the countless
Shows: Mostly the History channel as well as Discovery. My least
favorite show ever which can literally make me physically
uncomfortable and almost sick is "Todlers and Tiaras". Some of my
favorite shows are: Mountain Men, NOVA, Mythbusters, Top Gear, Pawn
Stars, New Girl, Modern Family, Ellen, and most of all (watch it
every day I can with my dad) Judge Judy.
Instead of listing all my favourite bands I thought I'd list my
favourite singers and guitarists.
Top five singers in no particular order:
W. Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)
Phil Anselmo (Pantera)
Glenn Danzig (Danzig, The Misfits)
Jim Morrison (The Doors)
Top five guitarists in no particular order:
Slash (Guns N' Roses)
Dimebag Darrel (Pantera)
Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top)
Robbie Robertson (The Band)
Food: Shawarma, hummus, pho, miso soup, I will basically try any
food once. I however, have never been a fan of dessert and am not a
big fan of the birthday cake pressure:
(cut to scene, at a family get together for someones birthday, aunt
cutting the cake offering me a piece )
Aunt: Would you like a piece of birthday cake?
Me: No thank you.
Aunt: But I Baked it myself!
(I can see the box it came in on the counter in the kitchen)
Me: I'm sure it's lovely but I'll pass.
Aunt: Oh comeon try it.
Me: No thank you, I'm good.
Aunt: You don't want just a small piece? It's birthday cake!
(She says this as if the fact that the cake is commemorated to
someone's birth should make a difference in how much I like
Grandfather: Don't you know it's bad luck not to have a piece of
(This is a myth I assure you)
Mother eating cake: MMMMMMMMM IT'S SOOOOO GOOD
Father finishing cake: I'll have another please.
Aunt to me: Are you sure you don't want some?
Me realizing I might not win this battle: Um
Aunt: Oh Ill cut you just a small piece
It's funny that I've encountered way more peer pressure around
birthday cake than I ever have around drugs and alcohol.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Samantha (my car)
My leather jacket
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes search on okcupid for my best matches all over the
world and learn about different countries and cultures by asking
those people questions about their lives. If you are reading this
and not from Canada, you are one of those people.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'd like to add a disclaimer and am attempting not to be too
pessimistic, so I will make it brief. You may find me attractive
(and thank you if you do) but I hope that is not the only reason
you message me. I have a lot to offer. I find many girls online are
just looking for a fling or a casual rebound. I am down for having
fun, but I am also looking for more than casual sex. Not that there
is anything wrong with that. It's just not what I'm into or looking
for. I'm a big fan of monogamy.
